Marq Marquez sucks and it is Valentino Rossi's fault. Jorge Lorenzo is a GOD and Cal Crutchlow will win the Championship.

Sorry, it's my fault. Ever since I left this place has been a ghost town. Let me liven this joint up!

Marc Fukn Marquez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rossi still has 4th place speed and can podium if everyone falls down. So that's encouraging.

Spoiler!!!

Great weekend at COTA. Reconnected with some old friends, and we had a ball. The VIP facilities are going downhill though...food and drinks not up to scratch for the price. Still, the venue and track awesome as usual.

Rossi surprisingly fast here...seems to have found something to get up the ladder. Pity the old guy fell in the race...was looking to be a good race with everyone except MM, who just SLAYED it again this year. The kid is simply sublime around here. Awesome to watch! The little shit! :-)

Cal did his usual thing, but the guy I felt most sorry for...Dovi. To be taken out by Pedrobot (although completely unintentional and should be considered a racing incident IMO), meant the poor guy was taken out twice in a row. That's shit luck.

I must say, the Bot was a class act - going immediately to Dovi to see if he was OK before climbing back on his bike, and then, after the race, going to Dovi to apologize again. Great to see.

Overall, a fantastic weekend. I may take the camper there next year and see what that's like....

Once again OB watches a completely different race than everyone else. Valentina was off the pace all weekend and only able to pull out one or two laps here and there. Meanwhile others were pounding out consistent laps.

And I suspect the VIP Village was the best the first year when I was there. And even then it wasn't nearly as good as Assen VIP Village. No way it was going to get better, only worse. There is no way the USA rounds could ever compete with the atmosphere of the Europe rounds. The little things in Assen like being shuttled around in BMW X5's within the circuit with live MotoGP being played on the NAV are what really makes it that much more special. Then you also have the full merchandise experience for every team that you don't get at flyaway rounds. The REPSOL GAS tent alone was worth the trip. Being able to walk in each team's hospitality tent within the paddock and talk to the team was also a bonus. In Austin you get fukn cargo boxes as makeshift hospitality and offices. Sad! Part of the reason I haven't gone back.

And yeah, the Suzukis have found a LOT of power - and have been faster than the Hondas through the top speed traps.

Some really great pics, Baldy!! Thanks for sharing! I had not realized just how massive the winglets really are on the factory Ducati until I saw your shot of Crazy Joe on his bike. Sick...

The worst part about COTA is that the VIP Village is the worst viewing area on the track after the race starts. The buildup to the start is great, but once it's begun, you basically are watching it on TV. Would be cool if they had a terrace at the top of T1, overlooking the track with a shuttle like other VIP Village venues.
