I Need Ideas For My Next Build

It turns out that I kind of enjoy working on Motorcycle Engines and I think I want to do another one (I know Jami, I'm a glutton for punishment). I was wondering what you guys think would be a good build. Some of my ideas are:

1) '96-'98 GSX-R750 SRAD WSBK build

2) '02 ZX9R with a 973cc kit (I'm kind of leaning toward this one since the engine architecture is very close to the ZX7R)

3) 2005-2006 GSX-R1000 Mladin replica Build

4) 2001 ZX6R Vintage Supersport Build (Eric Bostrom)

No Ducati stuff. Too expensive to source parts and I'll never be Matt Carr. hahahaha

This should keep me busy during the winter.

Some honorable mentions are:

1) Triumph Thruxton Café Racer build with Flat Slides.

2) V-Rod Dragster Build w/ Nitrous

Why not a V-twin?

TLR prices have come down and that Lady Bird full system is simply gorgeous.

I actually considered that. It's still an option.

If J.D. Hord can make a business selling built hawk motors in 2015 it cant be that hard to source

best thing is most of the mods are takeoff stuff from other Honda bikes so its relatively cheap

did i mention it has a shiny single sided swingarm

Funny you mention a 1340. I was looking at some BUSA vids.

On another note:
The word around the streets here on the east coast is that a very fast Ninja H2 spit it's guts during a race with a BMW S1000RR on a highway top end run. The video is floating around on youtube. The S1000RR looked like it was getting the better of the exchange. The H2 was flashed and worked with a 14k rpm redline like the H2R.

It's amazing that even after 6 years that S1000RR is still the king. Incredible. Suzuki better pull a bat out of hell with their next gen GSX-R1000.

I think I'm going to go with the 973cc ZX9R kit.

Why don't you just light a big pile of cash on fire? You should find something you're good at and THEN enjoy it as a hobby. Sounds cheaper than grenading engines over and over.

Grenading? I just got back from a spirited ride. Runs like a top and I'm headed back to the dyno.

That top end failure was a result of me pushing the limit on valve lash. Lesson learned and I won't be making that mistake again.

Don't hate. Appreciate!!!

NCR M16 - 319lbs 200+ RWHP.

Or The NCR Millona One Shot. You can get them built to make about 135 RWHP but it Weighs ONLY 275lbs and is easily one of the best handling bikes made in the universe.

The there's the NCR M4 One Shot - 278lbs and 132 RWHP 105 ft/lb torque:

How about building a 2-stroke racer? Grab an old 500cc 2-stroke dirt bike engine and build into a light racer.... I remember reading about some guys build a couple months ago... I can imagine how much fun that bike would be.

2013 BMW S1000RR
2011 Honda CRF450R (Supermoto)
2005 Yamaha Midnight Warrior
