Years ago, Monica Seles was stabbed in the back by a Steffi Gras fan in Germany.

A fan somehow got on track during a live Formula 1 race a month or so ago. He was casually walking around.

She never really recovered from that. It was a very sad commentary on sports. I loved watching her play. Whole lot of anger, poise, and power in that little frame. Totally intimidating the competition.

It is a brilliant move if he can get a stay order on the decision and ride at Valencia unaffected by the penalty. If post Valencia the penalty is sustained, he would serve it in Qatar next season at the season opener.

Unless they decide to uphold the penalty before the race next weekend (which would be surprising), Rossi might have a shot of settling it on track.

IF that happens, it is still not going to be easy to win the championship. Lets not forget he pretty much sucks at Valencia and the Repsol boys and Jlo will all most likely beat him. It will come down to what order the Spaniards finish infront of him.

I agree. He really has turned out to be a little pussy. It surprises me that MM has turned out the way.

C'mon, all three of you who believe that Rossi was primarily at fault for the crash....turn the tide of fan opinion. Here's your chance....

Actually, it is only the bias-misted eyes of Rossi fans (and grassy knoll conspiracy theorists) who see MM as the one at fault. The objective eyes of Race Direction and the FIM stewards made the correct call that and placed the blame where it belongs....

Here's a little inkling of the mindset of MM. Read the last two paragraphs carefully....

Reed: Rossi and Marquez were literally ready to die at VR46 Ranch | MCN

I find the tiny little anti-Rossi gang's feelings quite funny...

What an AWESOME track!! For the record, I am by no means anti-Rossi. I am merely against his recent actions as well as his hypocritical sense of entitlement regarding his attacks on MM's riding approach whereas he so often did the same for much of his career and even defended Super Sic (who was truly reckless and out of control) as well.

Brilliant and Priceless! How eloquently that sums up the irrational and close minded perspectives coming from the Rossi fans with such zombie like loyalty.

Is that your "Deepthroat" source, Baldy?

Everyone's opinion is wrong except our own, correct? It's a very small group, you should stick together. Perhaps have a little party. I'll rent the tiny house.

Lol, the same unbiased Casey who has always been butthurt about Rossi getting the better of him in certain races and who was one of the world's biggest MGP whiners about everything, and who left racing to go fishing?

Oh please, this does not help your argument at ALL.

1. RD - said that BOTH riders were at fault in the race. They, very interestingly, decided that Rossi made an illegal move on MM. No-one is quite sure exactly what that was, as Rossi had the lead and thus the line, and simply moved way off line in an attempt to slow MM down by moving him off line and run wide. He did not kick MM nor did he drive into him, nor did he run him off the track. MM could easily have avoided him but decided to turn into him, as is seen clearly on the videos.

2. The FIM stewards clearly decided that the damage was done and decided to just stick with the decision to avoid a huge and embarrassing issue. They did not feel there was sufficient evidence to overturn the RD decision, even if it seemed harsh on Rossi, given the above. boohoo.

3. Lorenzo - yeah, he's a REAL unbiased opinion in this, as the ONLY championship competitor who directly benefits from a Rossi penalty. Your listing him as an unbiased influencer of this issue is hilarious and shows your own bias here.

4. What did Pedrosa say that was anti-Rossi on this issue? The fact that he did NOT come out strongly in favor of MM indicates his dilemma on the issue - because he's been taken out by MM himself and yet is obliged to support Honda and MM on this one.

I'll rent that tiny house for your party celebrations for all three of you....
