Philip Island

3 races to go and 18 points difference, so who you got?

1. Lorenzo (MUST WIN)
2. Dani (In form rider)
3. MM (Was destroying everyone last year, until he fell)
4. Rossi (Riding to protect his lead, gets careful on a straight fight with MM)

2013 BMW S1000RR
2011 Honda CRF450R (Supermoto)
2005 Yamaha Midnight Warrior

Rossi goes for the win, and highsides into Jorge, taking them both out, and Mark laughs all the way to a "lookie what I got" win... lol

Take a look at Marquez Pole position qualifying lap around the 49 second mark and check out how calmly and routinely he goes about losing and catching control of his bike after his front tire washes out in the relatively slow right hander. When I watched it the first time, I was certain I was about to see him lowside his Honda.....

I'm hoping for a great battle for the win, probably between MM and Jorge. What I don't want to see is one of the Yamahas taken out by another rider's ambition outweighing thier talent.

Fantastic race! This was as good or better than the Rainey-Schwantz days, which I've always regarded as the best racing I ever saw.

Magnificent.

And the kid did good....great to see him back and not fall off.

Again, the Yamahas had no answer to the Hondas or Ducatis on the straights - it was clear that Lorenzo and especially Rossi had no answer to them overall. There has definitely been a relative change in their speeds....after a brief period when the Yamahas seemed to almost match them on the straights, and more than hold their own on acceleration out of the corners. Interesting how this changes.

I'd say that Rossi would have taken the 7 point loss after QP, and so would Lorenzo - so both are probably fairly happy with the race result from a Championship perspective.

Lorenzo still has to win the next two and hope that Rossi doesn't finish second in both of them, to win the Championship, so the balance is still with Rossi on overall form and results, but it's now very. very close.

My brain says Lorenzo takes it, but am really hoping for Rossi to wrap it up in the last race of the season with a win.

After the race when Lorenzo put his hand on top of Iannone's head and shook it in his form of congratulating him, I took that as disrespect. That is something you would do to a small child. At least that's my opinion.

I read on Friday that Lorenzo and Iannone are friendly with each other, some rumor was that Lorenzo was giving him pointers, which I doubt.

But if true, to help a competitor that you can beat but your teammate and rival (46) maybe cannot beat is some ruthless tactics. I love it were true.

I don't remember seeing it, but suspect it was probably just a friendly gesture, as we tend to do at times....

I think that we'll find that he becomes the #1 rider in the team, getting the top equipment choices and Dovi starts the slide.

Who was the last racer to hang with the aliens for the whole race? I know quite a few could hang with them for a while, but never a complete race. Ben, SuperSic?
