RC51 rare undertail

Does anyone here have pics of the Pit-eck undertail that's on ebay actually on and RC? How about installation ease/quality? Thanks in advance. You guys

There have been a few discussions about it. Most report of poor fitment and crappy tail light. It looks cool, and is simple but i guess it is shitty. Form what I've heard.:twocents

I have it, it looks killer. I love the way it looks. I hate the tail light / brake light. The blinker part works great, but it is very hard to tell the difference between the tail light and the brake light is very little. If you had a way to get a new light with better LED's in it, it would be great. :twocents
I'll try to post a few pics this weekend.

You talking about this one?

Those were formerly known as Pestana Customs. I originally had a problem w/ my tailight but I mailed it in and they mailed me a replacement unit. Since then I have had no issues. Fit was great on mine as well. I also completely removed my stock undertray. I didn't cut any part of it away so I can't speak to fitment if you intend to leave any of your stock undertray.
Here's pics of it when I first installed it a couple of years ago:

How about the tail light/brake light? As long as the knuckleheads in the cars behind me can see the brake light, that's cool. For the price, it's a hot looking piece, and it's not a Hotbodies' like everyone else. As far as the easy disposal of the undertray, I like it even more...however...don't you miss being able to fit a dead body and a gallon of milk back there?
Thanx again

still lots of room, I cut my stock undertail soI could keep the battery tray since I haven't bought the smaller one and moved it yet.

I think that looks a helluva lot better than stock!
The RC actually has a sexy a-- without all that fender plastic crap from the factory.

Who would've known?

Anyone ever wonder what is a Honda doing at a Mercedes dealership? A Honda bike no less.

Chap probably works there and is using free range of the tools and space.

That's a beautiful thing....think he's on the clock while working on his ride? That would be even sweeter!

i wonder how well it'd go over to mount your license plate to your leathers? it's not like that "speed hump" does very much for your average joe (or in my case, the average mike-that-ain't-that-fast )

that DOES really clean up the the pig's cornhole. i've been oogling one of those, but i'm still not completely sold on it for some reason.

I am convinced my only Saving Grace is that Death has discovered he must catch me first, and I am Faster.

-I do work for Mercedes as a tech. The benefits of having the space and all my tools(metric) available is nice.

- I dont get to work on my bike while on the clock. They have a strict policy about working on your vehicle( snuck it in, on a Saturday when the manager wasnt there)

- There is no mounting point for the plate with this undertail. I actually drilled 2 holes in the chain cover and bolted it there. Got pulled over by a "chipy" on the way home. He didnt much care for sportbike riders, but he let me go with a warning.

- And it sound like a harley with the cans off, almost.

I think the tail is nice for what it is, but as previously stated the brake light sucks. Its barely visible during the day, and at night the brake light is dim like a running light.

I am not a big fan of mounting the plate way up squid-style under the rear end, so here is a more recent pic w/ my pate mounted. Also, I have more trunk space now than I did w/ the stock tray. Sorry I don't have a more rear facing shot:
