Ducati 748/800 Superbike

1998 Ducati 748/800.

Beautiful and unique. Runs, rides and sounds great, needs nothing. Expert set up as a street canyon carver, very fun to ride. Ducati enthusiast and former racer owned for the past 15 years.

'98 gold "S" frame with adjustable steering rake.
Sharkskinz lightweight fiberglass front and side fairings.
Carbon-fiber front fender, rear hugger fender and chin fairing.
Fast by Ferracci clear windscreen.
Custom gloss-black no-decals paint by Rand Dobleman in San Francisco.
Nichols footpegs.
Ducati Performance race-pattern shifter.
'99 former AMA Pro-Thunder podium-finishing race engine (3-phase alternator/regulator) originally built by BCM, complete teardown/rebuild by Desmotosport in July '03 with 3K street miles since. Has made 115 dynojet HP with Nutec race gas, very lightweight.
- BCM ported heads.
- 800cc Wiseco pistons.
- SP cams.
- Megacycle rockers throughout.
- Carillo rods.
- Balanced Falicon supercrank.
- BCM lightened flywheel/primary drive gear.
- Champion A55V plugs.
- 996 oil cooler and lines, oil filter bypass plate.
50 mm SIL stainless full exhaust with carbon cans and carbon heat shield.
STM Evo slipper clutch with light spring.
Evoluzione 3.4 bar fuel pressure regulator.
FIM fuel injection chip, full system custom dyno-tuned at Factory.
Nichols crankcase breather.
European Cycle Specialties washable foam air filter.
EBC HH front pads and steel braided front brake lines.
Lindemann-tuned stock Showa forks and shock.
Evoluzione quick change 520 sprocket carrier, 14/41 gearing installed, 96-link x-ring chain.

$5500, don't make me put it on Craigslist or Cycle Trader....

Alright, after half-heartedly trying to sell this a couple years ago, it's time to get serious. Love the bike, owned it for the past 17 years, but it's gotta go. Needs nothing, runs great, sounds incredible. Thick stack of receipts from Nichols and Desmotosport, 17 years of maintenance records. $3500 rides it away. The description is all current, except I changed the oil and oil filter and put in a brand new battery.
