Jocke.......
Unfortunately for me it also sounds very familiar. Shame really. Slight variations, but statistically the same.

I have not previously gone public because I have always held out some hope that I might get my stuff delivered, especially late last year when he seemed to be making some effort. However, I have now given up all hope and waved goodbye to about $2500.

April 2009 Pre-paid in full for Chassis kit. expected delivery date May 2009

June 2009 Several emails saying the order is "almost ready".

July 2009 Email saying my order is READY to deliver. In addition to the chassis kit, I now also ordered and paid for ohlins fork cartridge, linear rear shock link (with extra postage) to be delivered at same time

July 22 2009 Quote "I will get your box shipped out and provide you with a tracking # ASAP"

July 28 2009 Email enquiry by me. Order has not shipped because Ohlins "sent the wrong spring" (you will come to realise that EVERYTHING is ALWAYS someone else's fault) Expecting delivery "tonight" Order will ship "tomorrow"

Aug 4 2009 Email enquiry by me. Order has not shipped b/c "last minute snafus" (ie someone else's fault) A few bits and pieces not ready yet eg axle tool

Aug 12 2009 Email enquiry by me. Auto reply stating that he has been without power for 3 days and he is in the middle of a mess with regard to orders (ie someone else's fault). Will get it sorted out ASAP

Aug 19 2009 Email enquiry by me. Auto reply stating that he has been sick and has been in hospital for 5 days. Orders in a mess, will sort it out ASAP, sorry etc etc

Aug 23 2009 Email enquiry by me. Auto reply stating that he "is back. Sorta" Also "And everyone that has been inconvenienced by this has a favor coming. So tuck that away and don’t be afraid to redeem it."

Aug 24 2009 Email by me asking that he either deliver my stuff or send my money back. Also threatened to go public in forums with my experience with DOS.

Aug 24 2009 Extensive email from Jason addressed to me personally, explaining his sickness, apologising for delay, has run out of money and has had to borrow from his "Mom (she is in India)", "stress is killing me" etc etc. Requested that I don't post negative feedback regarding DOS along with a veiled threat that to do so would end any chance that I would ever receive my order.

Aug 25 2009 Bank transfer of $US1000 to Jason from me. No acknowledgment from him

Aug 29 2009 Email from Jason, order is ready to ship and will post "first thing Monday morning" No acknowledgment from Jason regarding $1000

Sept 1 2009 Email from me enquiring whether my order had shipped

Sept 3 2009 Email from Jason stating order has shipped with tracking number No acknowledgment from Jason regarding $1000 Email to Jason from me requesting acknowledgement that I sent him $1000. No reply

Sept 16 2009 Package received from DOS. Chassis kit only, no Ohlins fork cartridge. Emailed Jason requesting he ship Ohlins I paid for and acknowledge the $1000 I sent. No reply

Sept 18 2009 Email to Jason complaining that he has not sent Ohlins and will not acknowledge that he has receieved $1000 from me

Sept 20 2009 Email to Jason informing him that his chassis kit will not fit on the 848 b/c the 848 has press in steering stem not screw in (Jason's kit requires that you reuse your own steering stem. The 1098 has a screw in stem, the 848 has a press in stem. He modelled his design on a 1098 and assumed that the same design would fit 848/1098/1198. He advertised and sold his kit as suitable for 848/1098/1198)

Sept 20 2009 Email from Jason saying he's "baffled", has sold plenty of kits to 848 owners without issue, "typical ducati", etc etc (ie someone else's fault) Said he will send me a screw in stem to use instead of my own stem. No acknowledgement of $1000 or Ohlins cartridge.

Sept 26 2009 Email from Jason (first time EVER that he sent an email to me that was not as a result of a direct enquiry from me as to what was going on with my order). Apparently, an issue with the steering stops on the lower triple were going to be an issue with the stops on the 848 frame, so a redesign was going to be necessary. I emailed back saying that wouldn't matter b/c I had already cut my steering stops off my frame to fit my 30mm offset triples from Dan Kyle. Still no acknowledgement that I had sent him $1000 or that he had not shipped my ohlins fork cartridge. But did say "I have a court settlement coming to me in a little under 60 days. When I have that in hand I will be doing what I was going to do to make this all up to you"

Oct 2 2009 Email from Jason saying he will send a steering tube "in the morning"

Oct 12 2009 Email from me asking about the stem that was going to be posted "in the morning" hadn't arrived yet.

Oct 14 2009 Email from Jason saying that he had shipped my stem without a tracking number b/c it was cheaper. He had been to the post office "and couldn't find anything (figures)" (ie someone else's fault) Said he had another one all boxed up ready to go but can't find my address b/c his wife Vicki had "filed everything over the weekend" (ie someone else's fault).

Oct 14 2009 Email to Jason giving him my address and somewhat sarcastically told him while he is at the post office can he also send my ohlins fork cartridge

Oct 15 2009 Email from Jason saying "You don't have the cartridge kit I sent with the clamps? Crap, let me look into this" First acknowledgement that I had not received ohlins. No acknowledgement of $1000. Email back to him slamming him and his business, stating that I had told him in THREE previous emails over the previous month about the missing ohlins.

Oct 19 2009 Email from Jason. claiming that the day my package was shipped (by Vicki ie someone else's fault), another package went to Germany and "From the paperwork it looks like the fork kit went with the shipment to Germany" Also sent tracking number for the 2nd steering stem that had already been posted. "Sorry about the endless screw ups. I'll make sure its over soon" No acknowledgement of $1000

Oct 21 2009 Steering stem received in the post. Attempted to fit the triples but the stem is TOO SHORT!!

Oct 22 2009 Emailed Jason with measurements and photos to show that the stem is too short.

Oct 23 2009 Email from Jason "I'm absolutely baffled" and "I think I'm just going to shoot myself in the face!" Claims to know nothing about 848 vs 1098/1198 having different length steering heads and steering stems. Requested that I take multiple side by side photos and measurements so that he can send the correct stem. Email back to him more photos and measurements. Still no acknowledgement of $1000.

Oct 26 2009 Email to Jason telling him about the results of a search I did on "Ducati-Superbikes" forum which clearly shows the differences in 848 vs 1098 frame dimensions and stem lengths dating back to Feb 2008

Oct 27 2009 Email from Jason saying "It would have been nice if someone told me" (ie someone else's fault) also "I won't be in a position to be able to pay you the extra money you sent or get the fork kit on the way for a couple more weeks" This is the first acknowledgment of the $1000 extra that I had sent. Also "I'm living day to day right now. I am on the other hand waiting on a settlement that has been in the works for 3 years now that i should be getting in the next few weeks" New stem with revised dimensions shipped. Offered to also ship me a TTX rear shock rather than pay back the $1000 I had sent him

Nov 5 2009 New stem arrived and does not fit because the thread on the stem will not screw into the thread on the triple clamp. Emailed Jason to let him know that I would be shipping the lower triple clamp back to him, along with the 2 steering stems (one too short, the other won't screw in) to fix and agreed that I would accept a TTX rear shock in place of the $1000

Nov 7 2009 Email from Jason claiming that before shipping the stem he had tried screwing it into an oem lower triple AND a DOS lower triple and it had worked fine in both. Also wrote a long rant about someone who bumped into and dented his car (WTF?!?)

Dec 1 2009 Email to Jason asking if he had received the stem and lower triple that I had posted back to him

Dec 5 2009 Email from Jason saying that he had my triple and stem "My postal service is a PITA about signatures and I missed them for a few days then needed to go to the Post Office to pick it up" (ie someone else's fault), had fixed the thread ("It was just a tolerance stacking thing") He will ship them out "on Monday" He also said he was "sicker than a dog again". Also said "I never got the mystery fork kit back from Belgium" (previously it had been Germany). Last statement was "I have almost enough money to get a replacement Ohlins cartridge kit and a TTX for you. As long as a meteor doesn't hit my house in the next couple of days I should be able to get those shipped to me and then out to you in the next couple of weeks. Sorry for the delay."

This has been the last email from Jason. He is not replying to any email I send despite having made approx 10 attempts. I have given up on getting my stuff and will now be out of pocket by approx US$2500. The only things that I have received from him that are usable are the ride height adjuster (already had one anyway), ride height measuring tool, radiator relocating bracket, and linear rate rear shock link.

In mid Jan 2010, I put in a bid on ebay for $1,000,000 for one of his chassis kits. Not surprisingly, I won this auction (I was the only bidder). When I won the auction I received an email from him (via ebay) asking me for my normal email address so he could send me information on the kit. He obviously did not recognise or remember my name. Of course I had no intention to pay for this auction but wanted to be able to leave negative feedback for him. I wrote back to him (via ebay and also via his normal email address) threatening to leave negative feedback and also to post my experience publicly on the various forums. He has not responded to any of this. I was going to make a bid for his current auction also in order to leave more negative feedback and try to drive his negative % below 90 but I notice that as of today (Jan 23) he has withdrawn all auctions.

I live in Australia so my options are pretty limited. If somebody local could go to

7720 Roxbury Ct
Ypsilanti MI 48197
Ph (734) 474 9971

and beat the shit out of him for me, I'd be very grateful.

I also find it extraordinary that he (ie bigbadducks) argues the issue of setup numbers with Dan Kyle in this thread but totally ignores all the posters in this thread who have a complaint about being ripped off by him (including the original poster and the entire thread topic!!!) Unbelievable!

Stranger still is that we have not heard back from him since LP issued his challenge:lol:lol:lol

Anyway, I'm done now. I've got that off my chest...

Yea its quite the PWNing, considering none of them know me at all! LOL

Naa dude, you can't destroy me, I'm already 6 feet underground. Right now, Jason is still above ground and if he is a friend if yours, I'd go see him and tell him to be careful. One of the guys from Canada that was screwed by Jason (who is the Canadian superbike championship) is literally going to pound jason to a pulp if he shows up. This has nothing to do with me, since you're one of his only defenders, I'd just let him know. I'd hate to see someone get screwed up, just because they lied, stole and cheated people out of hard-earned cash. Thats not worth beating someone up for, no way...

That socalmoto thread is nuts. And I thought we were into dick-measuring for no reason on this site. Holy cow.

Your not paraphrasing my statement accurately. I got my money back via paypal, so didn't get cheated in the end but he did threaten me (big mistake) and yes if he has any brains he'll stay out of my pits, because at that point I can't be responsible for my actions. I wish I was the SBK champion, but actually just spent alot of time with him and Guy Martin.

Come on now, you didn't like my statement "Will pound jason to a pulp" or whatever I said? Makes you look like a hero! LOL (joking obviously)

Glad you got your money back.

1. I pulled a background check on Jason and his wife.

2. I called two police departments in his area, one the town police and the other the county. I had two nice long talks with officers. I was advised I needed to start by filing a report in my own town so I did. Met with a local officer and gave a report. He provided me a CAD number and said a detective will call me on Thursday. I then called his county cops again and let them know the CAD number. They said they won't drive to his house and 'talk to him' but they would tell my local detective his true address and assist in the investigation if they were asked to by a local cop where I live.
They won't do crap for me personally but they will if another cop asks them to. I then get his true address so I can sue him. It's deemed a 'civil' matter although I'm trying like hell to explain that it isn't just him and me here. It's him and lots of people. He's taking money from all over the US right from their little town. I figure punishment will be better if I can bring more into the mix than just Jason and I. Either way I expect to have his true home address within a short while, like I said Thursday his county cops can expect to get a call from mine. Please PM me your name, address, and phone number if he took your money so I can add you to my CAD number prior to Thursday.

3. I filed a criminal complaint with the IC3. I strongly suggest that anyone that has been taken by him do this. eBay suggested I do it, I had never heard about the IC3 before but in a nutshell, it's a cyber crime group that 3 major US agencies take part in.

4. I found Jason's wife on Facebook. I wrote her two messages. First day it was this:

January 22 at 12:49pm
Vicki - I bought Ducati forks for my 900 Super Sport from Jason almost 3 months ago and they have never come and now he won't respond. Previously, weeks ago, when I last heard from him, he says he is very sick. That sucks but is there any way you can take 5 minutes and put those things in the mail for me? Please, I'm begging you. Seriously, I'm begging you. Finished or not, I don't care, pick up the pieces, throw them in a box and mail them. It's not right he is sick, but it isn't right he gets $560 of my money either. I'm the same age as him, I've got a wife, I've got two daughters. I'm not made of money. Please, I'm begging you. Can you mail those forks, no matter what shape they are in? I don't care. I don't want to sue anyone I just want what I paid for. Let me know.

That didn't get a response so I went to this:

January 23 at 9:18am
I filed a criminal complaint against you today with the IC3, a partnership between the FBI, National White Collar Crime Center, and the Bureau of Justice. The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) thoroughly reviews and evaluates each complaint so that it may refer it to the appropriate federal, state, local, or international law enforcement or regulatory agency. Every complaint that is referred is sent to one or more law enforcement or regulatory agencies that have jurisdiction over the matter. eBay told me to do this so I did.

I'll also be calling and filing a complaint against you with the local law enforcement officials in Milan and Ypsilanti, seeing as I'm not exactly sure of your home address. Roxbury or 424 Anderson Street, frankly, I don't care. They will find you. I paid the $50 to run a full background check on Jason Robert Etter and Vicki Lynne Purdy Etter. I have contacted the police in Monroe County, Washtenaw County, and the Ypsilanti PD. They can sort out just whom needs to track you down.

Taking money from people by falsely claiming you would provide services or product which you have no intention of providing is called fraud. It's a criminal offense and I''m sure Michigan has criminal statues that cover such crimes. Additionally, since you use the mail to ship packages that is called mail fraud. I will be contacting a the Mail Fraud Division and alert them to what's going on.

Seeing as there are currently many ongoing forums complaining about you and many many past ones, plus you're own recent screwing of me, providing information to them should be easy.

All I asked was for you to put stupid forks in a box, something you didn't have to make or have a production run set up to do. They should have been just sitting on a shelf. All you had to do was mail them...but then again, maybe you never even had them in the first place. At this point it wouldn't surprise me.

This is not a threatening message, just informative. I'm letting you know I'm taking steps. See you in small claims court, I file there next.

I'm trying my best not to be threatening or mean. I just simply stated the facts. I still don't get it. Unlike a lot of you that wanted something that had to be made, like a billet triple, what I bought was forks for a 95 900SS. They are just sitting on some shelf. All they have to do is put them in a box. That's it, mail them. Wow, so hard, just mail them. That doesn't put me into some Ponzi scheme of taking money from people to get enough to save up to do a production run on billet triples, nope, my crap is just sitting on a shelf. Send the wife over, or a buddy, or a friend, or anyone, and put them in a box and mail them. That's one less person on your ass, one less lawsuit in the works. I just don't get it.

Anyway, Jason didn't like me writing his wife because on the second message I got this from him:

Dear hollandbeck888,

I know I sent you an update so I know you know what is going on. If you attempt to contact my wife again you will never see your forks. Clear enough? Don?t reply, it will not be read, just deleted.

- dossllc

So, yet again, no "Hey, I'll just have someone throw them in the mail and you can move on", nope, just a threat using my forks as leverage. I'm sorry, his "It is what it is" and "You heard my situation" crap just doesn't work for me. I wish I could just stomp my foot and declare myself free from any responsibility, must be nice. Maybe I should try that "I have spoken" routine at my work. How liberating.

Anyway, here is what is next on my TO DO list.

1. Continue to work with the IC3 about the fraud.

2. Continue to work with my local cops to deal with his local cops to locate him for real. As soon as I have his real validated address he can expect a summons.

3. Contact the local papers in his area. If his small town is like my small town this should be interesting news. My little paper will cover some Cub Scout getting a basketry badge so ripping people off all across the USA right from that little town ought to be interesting. I have all the e-mails I've had with him, that should help, plus some nice notes from his background check. I can see it now, "Local Man Jason Etter Suspected Of Fraud"...Jason had nothing to say other than "Well, I told everyone I was sick, doesn't that excuse me?". I ask that everyone else that was ripped by him do the same, contact his local papers and request they run a story. The more the better.

4. Found his wife on Classmates.com. Thinking about a blanket e-mail to everyone in her graduating class about what happened. Nothing mean, just a simple statement of the facts. Should make for interesting reunion discussions. They are my age so they should have a reunion coming up.

5. Make new and interesting friends with Vicki's family. Thanks to Facebook I have the name of all her family members. Maybe a proper letter to each, nothing rude, no cussing, just a simple statement of the facts, would be interesting reading to them.

6. Contact the gym his wife follows called Powerhouse Gym in Saline Michigan. Vivki used to own a training business, Fitness by Etter, so she's a gym rat. If it's like my gym they have advertising boards above the urinals. Ask front desk worker if they do, then contact that company and have them put an ad of my creation in the restrooms. It won't be anything crass, probably something like "Jason and Vicki Etter" really big and then a web link to a post that covers his screwing of people. I figure I have to go that route, something without the details, because otherwise they'd have people putting all kinds of crap up there. Simple is better.

7. Watch for BK filings. It's only been since Sept of 2007 since his last was discharged. Hey, let's make it an every 3 year thing.

Wow! This is some crazy sh*t! I dealt with Jason a couple of times at Section 8, he seemed friendly and honest. But some of this stories are crazy! If true, he has turned into a D I C K ! And the 5% and 95% thing has some truth to it (I'm in sales), but he really sounded like a a$$wipe in that rant! Silly boy!

I have to admit I kindof got a kick out of seeing Tye get POWNED. ....again.

Greatest post ever on any forum!!

First of all "Tyler" your freaking camera package doesn't count as "electronics" for your bike and I'm sure your hollyweird ass has 50+ cameras mounted on it just to show mommy what a good "rookie of the year" you are.

You're talking way too much smack to way too many people by your comments. Overall Champion come on... Do you seriously think you can hang with the big boys?? I'm sick and tired of guys on smaller/wierder/boutique bikes crying about how they could of, should of would of done this or that. Bottom line is your bitch ass thinks he deserves that kind of respect and knocks on other prior/past WSMC champions?? Who the hell do you think you are Jeremy isn't friendly hahhahaha who the **** cares, he can bust out a 21 when ever he wants! Oh maybe Karl didn't deserve it either.

I tell you what, you go around show boating and doing all your wonderful PR for your "racing career" did it ever even once hit you that you might be offending some other club racers with your comments.

I first originally got pissed at you on another forum when I heard of you saying the guy who finished in front of you was a "stupid ass" for looking back on your video? Oh well his ass beat you, oh wait he was on a "cheap japanese mass produced, non- boutique bike" oh well... my friend goes on to stake his claim as to never being beaten by the 2009 Rookie of the year! I believe thats why you were in such a hurry to get out of the novice class.

You talk about your great experience in riding and building motorcycles but your couple of pile bikes you say are so superior and only for people who can afford them is a joke. Thats pretty sad maybe you never once rode a real Japanese SBK, or even saw one up close like mine. Did you ever once play with real electronics like a Motec ADL8, have you even once twisted a throttle on a factory superbike? Have you ever once gone around willow managing tire spin at your rear wheel on a 210+hp japanese pile?

I never once came across a racer that was so damn cocky as yourself, you need a good reality check bitch slap! Bottom line is you race the twins class not too many guys racing 749's against SV's. So you won a couple races you've raced every month practically which is fine, but you can't go around bragging about how you were the rookie of the year, when in fact you were the only one racing 3 races a month at wsmc consistently (unfortunate product of the current economic state). So once again the Boutique boy bought his prize! I give props to guys who show up to the track with the intent to go heads up with the biggest baddest bikes in the main class, those guys deserve the bragging rights. The smaller classes get the same respect as long as they don't have an attitude like yours. Hell some guys go out there on smaller bikes and go quicker than bigger classes, thats awesome. But at the end of the day you're nowhere near competing against the number 1 plate holder. Please save the story for your family when you're bragging. Because honestly everyone knows your full of crap and hearing the shit on forums cracks me up.

Just read a bunch of that thread on SoCal. Wow Tye. That thread is honestly one of the biggest internet bitchslaps I've ever seen. If it was me I wouldn't be showing my face at any of those tracks again.

But it won't ever be me, cause I don't think I'm capable of being that much of an arrogant sore 'winner'. Good luck with this Jason fellow, karma works in mysterious ways!

It blows me away at the things this guy has to say. There is no way i could show up at a track after talking as much crap as him. I would be worried about getting taken out.

This is somthing that was said on the ducati.ms forum. I just dont get it kidding or not . It is just bound to piss people off. What if he needs a part or somthing ? Do ya think people would help him out?
