IMO,I wouldn't even use it in an oil can let alone in my bike ,it gels up on the shelf ,I'll stick to my Silkolene-pro 4.

I wouldn't use the crap either! My Brother has been building engines for many years. One of his customers has been drag racing old 426 Hemi's since they were new. He recently switched to Amsoil and the pushrods wore right through the rocker arms. He never had that problem before. Perhaps it doesn't have any shear strength. On one of the Suzuki sites lots of the Bandit guys were having the same rocker arm problem as the Ducati guys. Seems as though most of the ones havine trouble were using Amsoil.

Are you guys serious about this or are you just trollin' for people like me to bite?

Could any of you talking negatively about Amsoil please send me weblinks so that I can investigate this further?

I'm not affiliated with Amsoil in any way. It's just that I have a few cans of Amsoil sitting on my shelf and I were thinking about using it for my next oil change but now I suddenly got worried...

I've run nothing but Klotz for years without issues. Great oil IMO.

No Offense, but I am not buying any of what you are saying. I personally do not use Amsoil but know that it is a quality product.

I'm not sure if it's a quality product or not, have read all of the tests, etc. I don't use it because of real world tests that I know about first hand. Sure, there could be circumstances entering in here that I don't know about but I'm not willing to gamble.
It's a free World and anyone can use anything that they want to use, no skin off of my ass. But, I've never heard any negative feedback about Royal Purple, Silkolene, Rock Oil, Agip, or even Mobil1 so I'm using one of them!

My head mechanic Kyle Thompson who is a level 3 Master Technician and has been voted or nominated for the Best Ducati Mechanic in Noth America by Ducati every year for the pats 5 years uses Amsoil in his 749R race bike. He ran the bike for 2 seasons approx 10 Race weekends per season and a few trackdays here and there. There was absolutely no wear on the motor of any kind and no need to replace any parts in the motor to get it ready for the next season. The entire motor was torn down and inspected but no parts were needed. We do not sell amsoil, we use Klotz, but after seeing the abuse his motor took and how good the oil held up I would recommend Amsoil as a quality lubricant. All the new oils are great and as long as you change them on a regular basis they probably all perform about the same, the big difference probably comes as they get older and some break down faster than others.
