Default appreciate any help

2002 m750. 5.9 ecu. I have new belts with timing marks exactly where they were before I took the belts off. Valves checked. All closers will rotate with finger pressure on the shims. Openers set at .004". Throttle bodies synced. TPS set to 150mv plus or minus 10 with throttle plates closed. throttle plates set to 2.7 degress for idle. Fuel filter flows without restriction. I have Gunson gastester and VDST software. I had no trouble setting CO on my 998. The 750 runs _lean_ as in less that 1.5 CO. Try to add fuel with the software and engine just speeds up. Ideas? The spark plugs are showing lean mixture. Can the fuel regulator go bad? Have not checked the fuel pressure at the pump. Had one guy tell me I could not change the CO due to European settings. I don't believe that. See comment on my 998 also a 2002 with 5.9 ecu. Got it set to 4-.4.5% CO without troubles with same software and gastester. Sorry for the length. Any ideas or something I am missing?

What do you mean with " the engine just speeds up"?

What happens to the CO? Does it get richer? If so just adjust the idle with the bleedair screws until you have the idle you want.

Why dont you set the TPS a bit more accurate? +/-10mV is not very accurate. I normaly set it to something like +/-3mV.

Setting the throttles to 2,7 with the VDST is also not very accurate. Use a multimeter and you will get a much better seting. I would guess that it should be something like 440mV but you would have to look this up in the manual.

Here are some hints from Brads page
