Question ducati webpage- recall information

Ola, some background: I am importing my motorcycle (2006 duc multistrada 1000s ds) into Canada, the bike was originally purchased in USA.
The Canadian government requires a recall clearance letter from the manufacturer stating the applicable recalls, if any, for the appropriate model and model year.
Does anyone know if this info is available on the Ducati webpage? Some manufacturers publish this information but I sure cant find it.
I have already sent a request to Ducati Corporate for the information, but I would like ASAP to facilitate the release of the inspection forms.
Thanks, graham

to the best of my knowlage you can't do ducati's online.but a dealer can supply you with the needed recall as long as it has ''ducati'' (tm)on the letterhead.

koas, i try tomorrow to talk to a dealership here in ottawa. on the riv website they say is possible to have a printout from an authorized dealer, but i think will take longer because they have to verify the info.

we shall see...

on a happy note, you learn by trying...and i've learned never to try this again

Last I heard you had to get the letter from DNA and you had to pay for it. You used to be able to get it through the dealer, but that changed a couple of years ago. I don't remember the specifics on it though.

well, you learn by doing. talked with ducati dealer, and am getting a compliance letter through them.
i was astonished at the price: 500 CAD.
plus it will take a week.
i once imported a car into the USA. It took me an hour at the dept of motor vehicles.
i am now on week 3 of importing this f%cking thing, at a total cost of almost 3000 $ (EXCLUDING airfreight services). I cannot get a temporary or transport plate, and all the offices for all the inspections are nowhere near each other and noone does everything i require.
the problem being that i didn't import from the US directly (at which point I could ride on an American ins policy, with American plates) but through Europe.
i am livid, moving back here was the worst decision i've ever made.

I just imported a honda VFR from the states and it was no problem at all. Other than the exchange rate and the shipping fee, there was no hassles.

Second time i've done it. sorry to hear that yours was a PITA. Put your troubles behind you and chalk it up to life.... enjoy the bike
