Default 750SS/785 piston ring help

Hey all, bit of a problem, I broke one of my oil control rings on my 93 750 motor with the 785 over-bore. I had ordered this kit from Bruce Myers 5-6 years ago when he was still running BCM Ducati. I contacted BCM and they could not help me, I believe the pistons are from Pistal, however there are no marking on them so I'm not 100% sure.

So if anyone knows where I can get a set of rings that would be great, or better yet how I can track down Bruce that would be even better. I have googled pistal pistons to death today and come up empty handed.

I only had engine apart to steal a roller bearing I needed for my 966 engine, Since engine had low miles after rebuild and still looked new inside I just cleaned everything and was putting it back together when I broke the ring like a dumb ass.

He will probably not like this but he is employed by DNA part time? and working at Wyotech in Freemont CA.I am not sure how you can reach him, but you could try getting a hold of somebody at DNA or try Wyotech and leave your contact w/ them.

I talked to Ed Milich at Daytona and he told me that he had purchased all of the stuff from BCM to supply those pistons . Try him at

If you have the old rings still, you can send them to JE Pistons for a match up to their rings to see if something will work. They're great folks and have helped me with great service for years.

if you go to the je website you can download their ring catalogue and go from there.

wiseco also supply the same rings, but with metric part numbers not imperial. or the other way around. same company.

You could also send the old rings to Ed at total seal and he can fix you up with a new set .
