What's the difference in tires??

I noticed on some brands when looking at tires that they will show two tires of identical size, but one will be recommended for a particular bike. Sometimes they will have multiple listings of the same size and have a different listing for each individual bike they have listed. For example they will have a 180/55 listed and then a 180/55 in the exact same tire but specifically for a ZX6, and then a third for a CBR or what ever. What's the difference in the tires?

I beleive when it says a paticular bike, the tire is oem but really the same tire, I think they try to make it easy for the people that cant decide what tire to use
