Most likely over unpaid bikes or parts or parts accounts?

Anything is possible but its just speculation on our part unless someone can get the full details on PACER.

Such is life.

...sure would be nice to know why they didn't last too long. Seems like something bad happened based on this.

I think they simply tried to live beyond their means, you know, like a rap guy/rock band that has one hit song, runs out and buys a ferrarri and is bankrupt in a year.

Couple that with maybe some less than ethical business practices, whether it be an inordinate amount of warranty work claims, promises to pay to vendors, embezzling of money, whatever and you have a recipe for failure.

I have no proof of any of this by the way, for you lawyers out there. I'm making an educated guess based on things I've read in the past.

Living in the area, I've heard and experienced some "things" with Sect8 and the owners both good and bad, (lots of rumors-most believed to be fact) but it would be nice to know the details of the lawsuit. When does that information become avail. to Joe Public?

Yeah, I'd like to know when the info becomes public. i guess after the ruling?

as for me? i've only ever had positive experiences with jason, jake, bill and matt and you're right, most of what i know is probably from rumor.

For anyone that's longing for the mechanical expertise that Sect8 had provided in the past. Matt Carr (their once cheif mechanic) has opened Ducati Indianapolis. Ducati Indianapolis : Ducati Sales, Ducati Service, Ducati Parts

Any time a company like S8 files for bankruptcy it is standard procedure for creditors to file for loses. And that is all this is nothing more standard operating procedure.

Yup! Matt Carr ROCKS. Spoke with him today regarding a slipper clutch and some rearsets.

+1 Seems like nothing more than creditors lining up to try to get some money back. Will most likely be more than one in line.

Damn shame they imploded. Never heard/read a bad word about them.

Default Hmmm...

A bunch of interesting conjecture, all of which is reasonable, but none of which is actually on the mark. Hint...notice who is being sued (and who is not)...that should provide a clue...

What are you talking about? JE left S8 in August. S8 is BK he didn't close till December. Creditors are suing both of them would you expect less?

I didn't go to business school but a general assumption would be that if a sect 8 went out of business, then sect 8 is held liable for money owed to DNA, so then why would Etter (personally) be part of the lawsuit?

What am I talking about? JE left near the end of August, Section 8 was closed near the end of October; basically two months spent trying to continue business and steady the ship after JE's sudden, "unorthodox" departure. As far as creditors suing, Once again, notice who is being sued-specifically named- in this Federal lawsuit and who is not. Apparently one principal is being sued while oddly, the other is not specifically named. I wonder why that is?
