Commonwealth Motorcycles of Louisville, KY has been remodeling and expanding a downtown Louisville property at 625 E. Jefferson Street Louisville, KY 40202. The “new” Commonwealth Motorcycles will be both the “corner bike shop hangout” its customers have known and loved on Baxter Street, and a premier motorcycle dealership, dynamically representing Ducati, Triumph, KTM, Suzuki and Genuine. The new 15,000 square foot facility will offer a beautiful two level showroom including brand specific apparel and accessories designed to please road-going, trail-riding and racetrack markets. To top that off, the new facility will include an all new Service Center. The Center will include OEM and performance parts and will also have an on-site fabrication area. A Grand Opening Gala is planned for December 2007. See Commonwealth Motorcyles for more information and images of the building.
In addition to the new facility, Commonwealth is pleased and excited to announce partnerships with desmoworks, for fine Italian machinery and Meyers Performance.
desmoworks, for fine Italian machinery, an online motorcycle parts and accessories vendor, will build Commonwealth’s virtual store, offering apparel, accessories and OEM parts for Ducati, Triumph, KTM, Suzuki, and Genuine Scooters. The new online store will be at Untitled Document and will be launched with the grand opening of the building in December.
Meyers Performance, Inc. of Meredith, NH is a motorcycle technical services consulting firm started by Bruce Meyers, Ducati Hall of Fame tuner. Meyers will be managing technician training and developing new opportunities for the Service Center specifically related to performance upgrades and racing applications.
Established in 2003, Commonwealth Motorcycles, Inc. is a Louisville, KY based dealership offering Suzuki, Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Genuine brands. Much more information and images of the building project are available at Commonwealth Motorcyles

I'll keep this thread updated, but more in depth info is available in the news section of Commonwealth Motorcyles.
We are moving ahead full speed. The hot water is on as is the heat! Last week we finished the epoxy floors. Ed, Kenneth, Scott, Dr. Bill, Gregg and I (Anthony) did an 80% epoxy base coat and a 100% epoxy top coat in Blue Lagoon.
This week the outside of the building is being painted (the red by the front door in the current photos is the final color), the landscaping is going in, a 30' flag pole, interior trim, interior doors and the showroom floors are scheduled to arrive Friday!

You have many satisfied customers who are happy to have the parts you've made. My suggestion to you is keep making good parts, keep getting more customers, take care of them and let them speak for you."
yeah Fokai has it for the new shop. The current shop is on Baxter, right before Bardstown Rd.
Things are still moving ahead full speed and we are looking at moving in around the first of December! This week the landscaping was pretty much finished up, parking lot striped, cabinets are being installed in the offices, bought a new to us milling machine and lathe, main lift to second floor is partially installed, fencing is going up, etc...
Unfortunately the flooring has been delayed and is now several weeks late. Luckily though, it is in the country at this point and is finally leaving the distributor on a truck headed for us tonight. They forgot to ship the glue to the US so we are going to be waiting on that a little longer. More to come very soon!
Oh and I'm adding trillions of products to the new online store as we speak and plan to go live with that when we open the new store. More updates on the way for that as well.
oh man thats so awesome!!!!! That looks amazing, really. I will def be making a stop by there and check it out!
Id love to get my 51 up to that area and do some riding.
There are some really good roads out here - lots of twisties with elevation changes just outside of Louisville. You're welcome to ride with us whenever.

Anytime. We do group rides on Sundays usually. Meet in Prospect at 9am and head out. We went the last few weeks, but I'm not sure how many days are left that will be warm enough for street riding.
We do a lot of dirt riding in the winter - if you ride dirt bikes you should join us for that. We usually ride about 40 miles of single track... good stuff
Finally, the floors have arrived and are being installed. Ed checked samples of 20-30,000 different flooring options; dragging kick stands, sliding tires, etc… to see which was the most resilient – and this is the winner. So without further adieu, the floor:
Yeah, we are MOVING! We started Friday and now everything is in the new building. We are getting setup and will be open on Thursday - all I can say is it is amazing. I'll have some images and more info soon - I've just been so busy moving that I haven't had time to think.
We are having an 848 premier on the 14th and 15th of December. Not sure when we are having the official grand opening, but we have a lot of work to do on the place first. Ducati Fixtures will arrive late this week and Triumph motorcycles and fixtures next week.
The workbenches in the shop area are being welded right now, then they will be painted and used!
I spent the day going through the Ducati Performance inventory The website will go up next week and it shall be fun.
The place looks a lot different with bikes everywhere. We have room for a ton more bikes than the old store. We put all the bikes in and barely filled a 1/4 of the upper level and the lower level has tons of extra space.
