Default If You Ride In Florida

Please pay attention to this. Now's the time to vote if you don't already. Please check the following links for important information concerning your rights as a motorcycle rider.

This bill is scheduled to go in front of the Florida House of Representatives for consideration:

http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sectio...7&Session=2008

The long ang the short of it is any motorcyclist (specifically motorcyclist) who is charged for speeding >30mph over, or reckless driving, on the first offense, is subject to seizure and forfeiture of their motorcycle, permanent revocation of their motorcycle endorsement, and imprisonment.

Contact your representative here:

Welcome : Online Sunshine

I can not stress to you how important it is that this law not be passed. Please do all you can to ensure this bill does not happen. Please pass this message along on myspace and any motorcycle forums you happen to belong to.

PLEASE POST THIS AS WELL!!!!

Default What?

why would a 1 reckless offense lead to loss of privledge? This is crazy if its for real. The reason I say this is a reckless charge is at discretion of the charging officer. I personally very seldom use this charge, but some use it all the time to stack points.

Default wow

here in hagerstown reckless driving tickets are handed out like there goin outta style.....i was told by one of the more sociable local officers that he is in the right to give me a reckless for any thing he feels could be or lead to be dangerous to others he said for example if i rev my bike high leavin work or a parkin lot and he feels i am riding inapproprietly he could give me a ticket...the only thing i could do is not pay it,wait for it to go to court and try to fight it, which no one does because its cheaper to pay the ticket.
