Default Slippery OEM Pegs

I've been reading up some on proper foot placement when on the track.

You're supposed to be up on the balls of your feet. I was trying that a little bit the other day and I found that my OEM pegs were somewhat slippery. Usually my heels are hooked on the pegs.

Is there a quick simple remedy for this other then purchasing $400+ rearsets

The solution doesn't have to permanent, just enough to last one track day, then I have all winter to deal with this, that is, if I wind up liking track days.

Thanks.

GP Pegs List

Nichols Foot Pegs

Stock pegs suck for traction. Or you can just hit them with a grinder and create traction.

Not sure which bike you have but if those links above wont work for you then you can also try Oberon pegs. Ducati :: OBERON Performance Motorcycle Parts & Accessories

Buy a small triangle shaped file at the hardware store, like $3. File a cross hatch pattern in the rounded ball at the tip of the peg. Works great, cheap, easy, quick.

Great, this was what I was looking for!!!

My track day is tomorrow No time to buy replacements (but thanks to those who suggested this)

I found the source of my coolant leak, gasket inside cap was askew. I think my coolant system is cursed, nothing but problems for me since the tank blew up.

Now, I gotta file the pegs, and pack. I'm behind schedule

Here’s what I did. Use a Dremel and a cut-off wheel tool to cut slots into the foot pegs. Leave the edges sharp.
