Sure thing.
The first thing you have to do is host the picture (if it is one of yours) on a picture hosting website.
Try http://imageshack.us. They are the simplest as they give you the IMG tags already and all you have to do is cut and paste the link.
I'll do a demo of what it would look like below, except I'll use the brackets ( and ) instead of [ and ] to fool the computer.

(IMG)www.thewebsitethepictureison.com/picture.jpg(/IMG)

Some websites will allow you to link pictures from them. Right click on the picture and look at the properties. Copy the URL for the picture and put it in between the IMG tags (that is the button on the right hand side of the left bar above where you type a reply) then hit the preview button to make sure it doesn't come up with a red X.

Hope this all makes sense to you. If you're not sure let me know and I'll try to explain better.

Hey Bucko,

I just hosted a pic on "ImageShack" and posted it in the testing area of this fourm. but its really big. How do you shrink it down to a regular size, so people dont have to scroll back and forth to see the entire image? Does this have to be done before hosting the pic?

Thanks,
Wormy

Yep. Imageshack just takes the picture straight from your hard drive and posts it up. you have to resize it first. I use Microsoft Picture Manager. If you go for a maximum width of about 600 pixels it should fit on most peoples screens easily and people with dial up wont have to wait all day (not me though, my connection is 10 meg per second ).

Nah, I work for the government and sit at work surfing the net all day and they recently installed a new fibre optic system which is damn fast. I guess all those tax dollars have to go to waste somewhere...

No government employee here and I am at 10 meg/sec also. Then again, I live real close to the phone company substation. But I would trade my connection speed for your pimped 998 ride any day Mental.

i use paint to resize - the old basic included in microsoft windows one - coz it's so easy. open the file, go to image then stretch/skew and put in a percentage smaller than 100 - i usually use 35% on our pictures from the 3 megapixel camera. will take them from 2 meg to under 100 usually.

you've got your "[ i m g ]" bracket mixed up. try like this:

[i m g]http://img152.exs.cx/img152/9674/7570067551050sm3yi.jpg[/i m g]
except leave the spaces out of the [i m g] and [/i m g]

gives you:

try again?
