Default Starter switch question

I finally got to go out on a ride yesterday between rain clouds.
When I made a stop to stretch the legs I noticed my starter button was stuck in. I didn't hear it while riding so I don't think it was engaged the whole time. But the reason I noticed it is because I turned the key on to leave, pulled the sidestand up, then whamo it started without me hitting the button. That is when I noticed it stuck in. I wiggled the red button a little and it popped back out.

So here is my question. What is the best thing to use to lubricate it? Any suggestions? Electrical cleaner, Dry Slick?
Should I take the switch apart to lube it inside? Or just try and squirt it where the button is?

TIA

Personally, I'd pull it all apart and clean it real well with electronic contact cleaner (Use only the stuff that wont eat plastic!) then put it back together.

That happened on my first 998, the first time I rode it.

I found that one of the screws was over tightened enough that it kinda' warped the plastic switch housing. All I did was loosen the screw a bit and I never happened again.

It freaked you out when it did that, didn't it....?

Yeah actually it did. I thought Is this thing possessed? I am just glad I was in neutral because the clutch wasn't in yet. I will loosen the screw up. I am assuming it was the screw closest to the tank. Thanks Layne.
