Default New Numbers for ACORN

Anyone else see that now instead of the previously reported 1.3 MILLION new registered voters, they're saying it's more like "maybe" 400,000 ant the rest are outright fraudulent or existing voters who simply filled out the form. Why does the govt. (us!!!) keep throwing money at these clowns?

Because they register people to vote and this is a democracy.

And again, just today in the paper I was reading how almost none of these fraudulent registrations translate to actual votes. In the last four years there have been only 120-something cases of actual voter fraud tried in U.S. courts. It's one big red herring that is brought up by Republicans every election in order to deflect attention away from their attempts at voter suppression. Lesson to be learned: Don't believe ANYTHING you hear on FUX NOISE.

Have you applied for cable lately? You should be able to use the bill for an ID.

No, like caging, or purging voter rolls, or sending few voter machines into liberal districts (as in Ohio, 2004). Voter supression is a Republican stalwart - do they really believe in democracy? Not really. What they believe in is winning. Just ask Karl Rove.

Also, maybe you'd be surprised to learn (as I was - if true, not sure) that only one in five registered voters has a photo ID. When you're talking about blacks, only one in ten has a photo ID. There are a lot of poor people in this country who live very different lifestyles than us normal people at Zilla . Disclaimer: Don't quote me on those stats. I can't recall the source.

Having said that, I think a national ID is a great idea, with iris scan, finger print, the works. You don't bring it to the polls, you don't vote.

I heard that John McCain has hired the Karl Rove candidate destruction team (destroyed McCain's race in 2000) to try to do the same to Obama. I also heard that Voter suppression has started at Colleges, saying that you can't vote at the college you are attending( supreme courts disagrees, let Palin know about that court case) and if you have any out standing traffic tickets you will be arrested! They are also saying republicans vote on Tuesday and democrats vote on Wednesday!! same ole schmidt different election the difference with this election is more people are actually paying attention( probibly due to no funds to go out and are stuck in at night)

They're white, arrogant, ignorant and...they're lame...

Hehe
-CockyMountin-

Dont you have a "mighty / checkered by failure" glorious triumph to sell somewhere?

I understand that failures are triumphs to you. I dont understand how you get through life with this dementia, but I understand you see life this way. So, up is down and all that. It's no wonder you'll dress up like a cheerleader and screech for Roves and Cheneys... you like checkers.
Whaaa Rocky... were you cleansed of your shame by some special authority?

At the very minimum, ACORN is using the BS voter registration numbers to get more public financing for their group.
I am all for getting people ligitimately registered to vote, but this is rediculous. They're a sham and should have the public taxpayer funding of their criminal BS shut down. If they want to go about their business the way they currently do it and get people, cartoon figures, headstones in the cemetary and such registered then let them do so with donations rather than with my tax dollars.

Isn't it funny that the only person arrested for voter fraud during this election season is a Republican? How ironic, or not
