There you go again. Ayers actually said: "I wish we'd done more". Given that they did much more than just bomb, "more" could mean any number of things. He may have been thinking more bombing but he probably was thinking about other stuff too. Also, there is no evidence that he actually set any of the bombs. There is just conjecture and illegally obtained evidence. See, you're just not accurate in your posts. And then when you consider what the great American military was doing at the time there are a lot of people who feel his actions were justified (apparently his work didn't kill anyone - just structures). How many innocent civilians did we bomb to smitherines in Vietnam? Who were the real terrorists? It is all very, very debatable. That's why there was so much outrage in America at the time. The events of Ayers and others didn't just happen for no reason, you know?

C'mon man, you can't be serious when they asked him specifically about involvement in the bombings, he said "Hell yeah, I wish had done more, I'm guilty as hell and free as a bird, what a country!" C'mon man, you can't be serious when they asked him specifically about involvement in the bombings, he said "Hell yeah, I wish had done more, I'm guilty as hell and free as a bird, what a country!" In addinton, the only reason people were "only" seriously injured and not killed, is because they can't even build a proper IED......(maybe your opinion would be different if YOUR wife/child was in one of the buildings...

There were some people killed in at least two bombings but I think they were carried out by other members and may have even been after Ayers quit the Weathermen (he was a member for four or five years). I have questions too but I sure as hell can't criticize Obama for serving on a highly respected board just because Ayers was also on it. What's he to do, resign because a never-convicted person was also on the board, even though the board was so valuable? If we all acted like that only the criminals would be running things. Going to Ayers house is another matter. That doesn't sit well with me but I don't know the context. For one thing, Ayers was not the only person who invited him. And they have never been friends, just aquaintences who crossed paths and worked together to a limited degree. To listen to Sarah Palin you'd think they spent every Friday night down at the bowling alley...but then Sarah Palin has a history of lying through her teeth and several other moral lapses so I wouldn't take her word for anything.

Wednesday’s disgraceful debate got me thinking. If George Stephanopoulos can ask Barack Obama about his insubstantial ties to a former radical, then why can’t someone ask John McCain to explain his relationships with some rather unsavory characters, including convicted felons? Let’s start with one here–there will be more to come.
Notorious Watergate burglar G. Gordon Liddy is a McCain supporter. In fact, Liddy, who at one time plotted to murder a journalist, has been donating money to McCain for the past decade. Liddy calls McCain “a good, personal friend“. McCain has appeared on Liddy’s radio show and McCain’s website provides call-in info to Liddy’s show, asking supporters to contact the ex-con.
Liddy didn’t exactly turn squeaky clean when he emerged from prison. In the mid-1990s, he instructed listeners about the best way to kill federal agents, Liddy has also bizarrely suggested that the Watergate break-in had something to do with a mythical call-girl ring run out of Democratic National Committee headquarters. Not exactly a reformed or repentant man.
Now that George Stephanopoulos is through grilling Obama about nonexistent ties to a former Weatherman, maybe he, or someone else in the media, can turn their attention to McCain’s close ties with a convicted felon who was involved in one of the most infamous crimes in American history. Looking forward to hearing McCain explain this relationship, and whether he agrees with Liddy’s extreme views.
