From a fellow Canadian , the socio-political situation isn't much better here my friend . Canada is quickly becoming a Third World country as the educational and political institutions cater to the lowest common denominator in the quest for political correctness , with the ironic result being that those underdeveloped countries we think we are better than are actually producing brighter and more productive young people--have you talked to Canadian teenagers lately, "LIKE !" . We in North America have become fat and lazy physically and intellectually b/c we've had it easy for so long , and now we are just trying to preserve the FACADE of culture and leadership w/o actually have either . Please let's get back to bikes ; I'm getting depressed .

My main concern, once again, is the potential tax increases, which are huge, under an Obama administration, with a Democratic controlled congress. Huge capital gains increase, death tax increases, and the list goes on.

Go family planning (by the parents and potential parents) who are supposed to be in charge!!

With regard to Green, the free market will correct itself to bring about the change that consumers demand. I know this is true in home building (I'm a builder). We don't need government programs to make it happen.

One example is Paul Wellstone was just a professor at a college for years and after 12 years in congress getting little more than his professor pay he was worth more than 10 million.
It is a little hard to work hard and improve your life if the major work place just up and leaves the country, yet the company is called American??
And lastly if you are worried about the death tax, who gives a shit your dead!

I agree 100%. Many of my co-workers agree too. She is good to go and covers the female and minority classes very well. She is smarter than both candidates...
Obama is a tool that speaks well and ain't done shit. If he doubles the capital gains tax, those investments have already been made!! Every home owner who has seen appreciation in their home value will pay twice as much in taxes when they go to sell.
And the concern with the death tax is for heirs. I for one am working hard to leave my children something to build on when I kick the bucket (and hope my parents did too ). The government should not get 60% of an individuals life work. We will be back to heirs having to sell farms, businesses etc. just to pay the taxes!!
Oh, and to your last point, how about gaining Knowledge to pick a career that is not likely to be replaced with cheaper labor. Many of those careers pay scales have been inflated through collective bargining and are over valued, thus going elsewhere.
Success can be found when you realize that the "major work place" is YOU!! And if YOU are an American, then you've got all you need.

I'm trying hard to not get into a Lounge discussion here, but you aren't gonna win this argument. We're on the verge of bailing out the Big Three car companies again. You made a comment above about this not being a socialist nation, but we've been heading that way for awhile.
Pick Obama or pick McCain - we're getting a bigger government either way. And it gets worse everyday while we pretend that there's a difference between the Democrat and Republican choices that we've chosen to accept.
