The "Titanic" metaphor never seemed more glaring and in line for imminent revisiting. Build the biggest and most expensive ship ever. Call it unsinkable, leave morons in charge of it, send it out to sea, ignore ice warnings, hit an iceberg, frig up the saving passengers part and live to die in regret of the culling of lifeboats.
Why were 'life boats for all' not installed? The ship was unsinkable of course. Couldn't have those inconvenient, unsightly lifeboats undermining the unsinkable claim now could we? That was perceived as "weak".
Why get control of pollution before it controls us? Because the same stupid idiots are trying to hit the iceberg with "unsinkable" earth. Yay for the nay sayers...keep your eye on them... do you see anyone who claimed the "fundamentals of the economy are strong" now saying they made a monumental mistake? Um, no. Why? Cuz it's Obama's mistake! hehe.
I have said it before. The ding-a-lings who claimed everything was terrific while Bush was captain are now blaming anyone but themselves. They know nothing of fundamentals of anything.. they're just mental. They jacked the economy, blocked it's healing and blamed others...They will do the same with the environment too. Hide all the woman's clothes because they are headed for the woman's dressing rooms. What better way to sneak away from direct responsibility than to dress as a woman or child. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd screwed the economy more than Bush did.Bushes mistake was not vetoing the heavy spending bills that kept coming from all sides, not the least of which the Repubs in Congess. Obama wants to help enrich uranium for Iran, even getting the French and Russians to do it for us, but he won't push hard for more nuclear for the good ole USA. He'd rather cripple us further with cap and pay(and lose more jobs) than actually support safe/effective energy production with nuclear power. Not too many jobs building wind mills so forget about it.
Too bad people wouldn't just say "That's it!" We're going green. Wholeheartedly, no peace-meal or half witted semi solutions. Just jump in with both feet and put the middle eastern snake oil salesmen outta business within a coupla few years.
No more dependency and no more money vacuumed out the door and no more Co2 plumes filling up our finite airspace. No more secret deals and filthy profits over dirty oil.

Listen man, GWB is a total screw up ass. If you want to debate that, you have serious reality issues. On his watch, with the cheerleading of the flock, the US went from surplus to bankruptcy. Whatever filter you use you cannot justify the failure of those eight years. He made the glaring mistakes and your team simply didnt get it.
