Dang I wish I wrote names down but I was driving.

Today on mainstream media I heard of another prominent person, this time a top tier geologist from OZ stating that the global warming movement is another false religion. CO2 is a plant food therefore the more CO2 generated the more plants are created hence more oxygen is created. Damn, just like 6th grade science class taught me. Man oh man, there goes simple physics getting in the way of a religion again.

Gog, have you ever thought of looking at your life ambition from a scientific viewpoint?

OBTY, you are experiencing the coldest January in 68 years if you didn't notice.

The rest of us have enjoyed a cool July, but Gog is lagging behind up there!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Not his fault for not noticing, he hasn't left his snow cave in weeks, he's busy crochetting an "I hate ANYTHING American" shawl. (using only recycled baby seal pubic hairs from the baby seal rescue ranch he and Tipper (puke) Gore run in a secret anti-republican laboratory 8 miles below the surface of the earth.

Well fear is keeping us behind the curve on new technologies that exist that make it impossible for meltdowns to occur. Just like all things, technology improves with time. Would you say cars are safer today than they were in the 70's? So are nuclear power plants. New technologies have been created with passive safety systems that elliviate any threat of meltdown.

Pebble Bed Nuclear Reactors for one, which rely on the Doppler Broadening phenomenon to keep temperatures in check regardless of what happens to the cooling system. The hotter atoms get, the more they spread apart, making it harder for an incoming neutron to strike a nucleus. In the dense core of a conventional reactor, the effect is marginal. But Pebble Bed's carefully designed geometry, low fuel density, and small size make for a very different story. In the event of a catastrophic cooling-system failure, instead of skyrocketing into a bad movie plot, the core temperature climbs to only about 1,600 degrees Celsius - comfortably below the balls' 2,000-plus-degree melting point - and then falls. This temperature ceiling makes them what engineers privately call walk-away safe. As in, you can walk away from any situation and go have a pizza.

And China is building 30 of these as we speak.
But it's okay, we'll have the smart grid, otherwise known as rationing, for no other reason than because we're afraid and uneducated.

Irony, the first person to come up with the idea of Pebble Bed Reactors was none other than Farrington Daniels... the mastermind behind solar power, which is nowhere near as effiecient.

Aww c'mon dus10R, you're challenging the peace and love granola society. Obviously you haven't munched on LSD cookies all your life.
Your logic and rationale are contrary to the move backwards while the world moves forward mindset. As a result of your upbringing you're a bad example and your kids should be home schooled by algore. Now go and watch his movie two more times and recite the greenie mantra.

Sounds like you understand a lot about the mechanics of nuclear energy. Sorry if you feel insulted for alignment with right wingism. You're not "confronting" me with new ideas here. You are simply favoring an energy option that has grave dire consequences for all of us if some dick wad messes up. I suppose you've calculated the human **** up factor in your nuclear energy philosophy. BTW, that includes Russia, N Korea, Iran etc. You haven't just fallen in love with nuclear power thinking it's a local affair have you? It sounds like you are over confident and zealous... enter hubris!

Gog, you realize that mother nature created Uranium right? Not man. The evil right-wingers didn't think the stuff up in a labratory. It's buried in the ground all over the world. I fear the men behind the nuclear business and the I fear the inevitable, omnipresent mismanagement. I also fear the choice made by my fellow man to unleash nuclear energy before exploring safer, cleaner and more sustainable alternatives. . To dismiss it as natural, common "hot rocks" is about as good a philosophy as "unsinkable ships". You know less about nuclear energy than Captain E.J. Smith knew of ocean travel.

I know, I know... "NUCLEAR!" scary word.

You dont seem to know/care too much about human or mother nature... or the business mentality. Nuclear power gives power to the wrong people as readily as it provides for the needy or the paying customer. Politicians, social icons, movie stars and scientists dont seem to be able to stop the love affir between nuclear energy and bad people. You dont understand that the actions of bad people, upon each other, far far away, may indeed, kill you and yours. It's nothing like a mismanaged solar plant or a failed tidal experiment. I cant see a terrorist smuggling solar panels or blades of wind generators. I cant see India and Pakistan aiming their wind mills at each other. You can admit that nuclear is more "inconvenient" than wind generators or methane dumps, solar, tidal, geo thermal etc. Doesnt have the same headline potential that Chernobyl has. The next Chernobyl could come from Korea, France, India. You really feel confident that they will uphold the same flawless standards that you love to tout? If you do then... YES, I am afraid despite being educated or reassured by you.

Oh, the smart grid! Thank GOD for the smart grid. Whew, let's all relax. The Chinese(the ones who poison, torture, shoot, spy on and oppress it's people whilst strip mining their natural world) are going to run those plants differently to how they make their sub standard everything else. Let's not even talk about the Russia's collection of discarded, ultra toxic, cold war navy ships.

Irony, the first person to come up with the idea of Pebble Bed Reactors was none other than Farrington Daniels... the mastermind behind solar power, which is nowhere near as effiecient.
Nuclear has it's role in humanity's future. I am sad that it does because it is more suited for powering a moon base or mars base etc. It has done some wonderful things for medicine etc.

Mostly though, it has upped the ante in the long term survival game. You seem to think that humans are as perfect as the nuclear reaction itself.

I'm sure there will still be some die-hard believers who stick to their theory though.
Didnt you say that when I claimed that GWB & Co. were a bunch of lying, cowardly idiots who will run the ship into the iceberg? It was very similar. The situation is similar. You still cling to your self righteous, self assured world of falling stars....

The more religious, god fearing people speak out, the more I realize they should be quiet. Religious people know dick all about the earth. "God" is a private matter, a simple decision to be spiritual or not. Not something for groups of men who claim their closeness with god through violence, disregard for nature, judgment and discrimination. Let alone the superstitions, fairy tales and ignorance that drive the business behind the "spirituality"... Thats what I see coming from religious people all over.

Clue: We are sick of that smug, ignorant arrogance. Religious people of planet Earth make me spiritually ill. The humility is gone, replaced with aggression and arrogance. The church... fighting science... one lie at a time.

Love the creator..hate the creation? I dont see the christians of this earth rallying to save the creatures(or their habitats) and/or life forms being eradicated on a scale not seen since the extinction of the dinosaurs. You know, those reptiles that slithered around the feet of Adam and Eve 6-7 thousand years ago.

Let me guess, God wants you to sit on your ass and mock those who care about his planet huh? Did Jesus give you a whisper, instructing you to dismiss other religions and life forms as inferior and not worthy of your guardianship and protection? Lemme guess Nero, your processions, affiliations and money are more worthy that nature itself?

Right wingers love to dismiss the notions of godly, earthy stewardship as a hippy granola mentality... a joke. The reality for right wingism?... Your time has come and gone. Like the white man's superior reign in America, we hope never to see another group of white, lying anti Christs in the white house again! Let's have some black anti Christs for a while. Paint the building black and lets go forward. Until it's painted brown next time, then yellow and then red...

Nay, but seriously brethren, take stock of your aspirations...
Start giving a shit about life on earth for things other than the items you and yours coddle and collect...
"Jesus is watching you"...

Hey Mate,
It seems to be a story half inspired by "Animal Farm" and half "The Emporer's New Clothes". It's all hard to understand the inner workings of people who have to be told a thousand times to "duck" or "get out of the way of yourselves". No amount of cautiously offered parables, carefully crafted anecdotes, glaring examples of history can budge the cemented heads of right wingers.
If only the bill for failure was not "socialized" into all of us paying for their stupidity and arrogance. Love to hand them the tax bill, clean up bill, medical bills and see their reaction.
No more welfare for republican failures!

Dear Mr. Gog,
Thank you for your recent interest in my spiritual welfare. At this time we regret to inform you that we have no openings for wide-eyed ranting lefties. However, if you check back in say, 1000 years, things may have changed. We here at Nerocorp suggest you forward your resume to any one of the very profitable socialistic nations currently practicing peace, love and harmony. North Korea, Venezuela and China are said to be in interest of persons with your abilities. Good luck with your maniacal search for universal peace at the sacrifice of reason.
Very truly yours,
E. Nero

Go ahead, get drunk on toasts to the two biggest, dumbest cowards in America...Cheney and Bush. While you're hoisting for losers, why not have one for the Walls St. C.E.O.s, another for the Madeoffs, how about one for the Haliburton war profit machine, the car makers and Kim Jong while yer at it. Imagine Nero saying that hippies would love regimes like North Korea. haha! That's a "mission accomplished" statement if I ever heard one.

You are the one voting for secret spies and shadowy subversives, lawless, arrogant fools and proven cowardly failures! hahaha, if they're NOT liberals you'll find a way to turn their failures into wins, losses into gains and lies into truths. These right wing, deadbeat, undemocratic failures are nothing without fools to vote them in. The level of understanding is simply too low for the tasks at hand. Like the vision of the Automobile indutry's CEOs. Short sighted, moronic, over paid and about as capitalistic as Cuba. Yet, the RW cheerleaders line up with lenghty list of excuses and lies, demanding the people of earth pay attention... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Do you claim that your team won after a solid, certified thumping by the winners? It reminds me of the GSP- BJ Penn fight, you just cloud the win with accusations and innuendo and yet, the video is right there for all to see. GSP beat the crap outta him. ALL the greatest MMA fighters say "GSP beat the shit outta him.. period" But no... enter the right wing scale of justice, logic and reason.

Now, we have them warring against common sense, decency and law and, with fervor, our collective environmental security and health and happiness. Look at them all up in arms because people are doing the things, that must be done, without consulting their fragile egos for bad ideas.

Oil well, what would one expect from a pig but a grunt? I suppose, after the real chaos begins in earnest, we will find you guys reassuring yourselves the the "evil doers" are responsible... laughable in the saddest way ...
