All we have to rely on is a group of activists who insist it's true and use inaccurate surface temps (even if they were accurate they still wouldn't prove the cause) and opaque computer models that use dubious statistical techniques and inadequate or downright faulty assumptions. Why should we cripple our economy based on non-disprovable and often times un-auditable (most of the climate models' creators do not release their source code for evaluation) data, and unsupported hearsay? Does that sound like a practical course of action?
