Default 80 900 SS

I have an 80 model black and gold 900 ss that I would like to begin resto on. Can anyone give me some info on possible sources on parts and REALLY good engine builders for old bevel drives. I like doing my own work, but in this case I may try to find someone else to "do" the engine/trans. work.

Thanks in advance for any info

This site will point you in the right direction for a lot of things. Also, there is a bevelheads mailing list that has a lot of knowledgable people on it.

Info for subscribing to the list is on the ducati meccanica site.

There is also a forum at blocked-site.com:

But it isn't as busy as the bevelheads list.

EDIT: Oops, I guess Steve got on someone's nerves around here... you can find a link to a few places here:

Default Bevel engine work

If you want the best in the way of a bevel mechanic (or belt drive for that matter), contact Guy Martin at MBP. His work is incrdible. You may have to wait a bit for it, but it is worth it if you want a top notch job that will last. I have a 1978 900ss he helped get back on the road after a complete ground up restoration.
