88 750 F1. Will any belt drive starter fit this bike? Thanks.

yes you shouldnt have a problem my 1990 750 sport starter blew up on me I had a 2003 starter to drop right in. Your motor is almost the same thing.

You should be fine

Ducati's are great for interchangeability of parts - at least until the 749/999 series arrived. I have a 1981 Pantah with a 916 starter on it. And a bevel twin with a 916 alternator, although that required a little machining of the cases to fit.
