Default Hi all, I'm new and have a Pantah carb question

Hi all,

I'm a new poster to Speedzilla, although I have scoured the forums often in search of "the light".

I am currently building a 680cc TT2 hybrid for the road and I am looking for carburettor recommendations. My choice is naturally limited by budget and what I can get second-hand. Has anyoine had any joy with Lectrons, Keihins, Dellorto/Malossi or Mikunis? I had a pair of 41mm Malossi's but I lost them after moving house four times. Can anyone recommend something or someone to contact?

Thanks kindly.

PS: I live in Australia if that makes any difference.

Dellortos are a popular choice for the older Ducs, and being in Australia you should have pretty decent access to used ones. You guys seem to have a lot of the vintage Ducati parts stashed away for some reason...

no idea what size you'd need. The earlier 750's ran anywhere from 30 to 40 mm. 32's are common and not too expensive on ebay, plus parts are available to rebuild them.

Thanks, chaps.

Yeah I know that we are pretty lucky for parts for older Dukes here and I have spoken to Mike from Gowies and Bob Brown as well. I was just wondering mainly about the other carbs. The Malossi carbs I had were not very good actually, I think they were well oversized for the capacity and had pretty slow air flow through the Venturi.

I'll do some hunting on ebay and see what I can come up with.
