1954 Ducati Meccanica

Came across the beauty for sale here in Germany any idea what a fair price for this would be? All I have is pictures to go on they say bike is fully functional but has sat for 2 years

I'm certainly no expert on the early single cylinder bikes, but I'm guessing this one is a "special" and not a stock model. If nothing else, the oil return lines on the head have been modified, but this usually indicates other mods too.

"Meccanica" is not the model BTW... that was simply the logo Ducati used in those days.

The frame is from a 1957 125. The engine is a 125 engine. If you post the engine and frame numbers, we can figure out what year the engine is.
The rest of the bike is a custom. As for value, it is a cool bike but has little to no value to a collector. I would say that its worth $3000-3500 US.
