Too nice to part out. Needs nothing.
I built this entire bike from scratch last winter with help from the boys at DucatiOmaha. What started as a bare fame and swingarm turned out to be what you see below.
I took my time, put the best parts into it that I could afford, and did not cut corners (
pun intended) on reliability. The bike has never been down since I've had it. I don't know the history of the frame itself as I bought it entirely stripped from DucatiOmaha last January. The frame has a salvage title.
The bike starts everytime I crank the engine. It idles beautifully, and when on track the power delivery/drive is very smooth with no hiccups in the rev range whatsoever. The bike handles wonderfully, and a good rider on a technical track on this bike can make alot of litrebike riders look stupid.
The bad news (for me) is that I only made it to the track 5 times last year. I did four (4) eight lap sprint races and two trackdays on the bike. Nothing more. Luckily I didn't have so much as a close call last year at the track, and thus the bike is in fantastic condition. The only flaw(s) on the bodywork are down very low infront of the foot-pegs where the lower fairing would rub the asphalt on really fast corners where I had the bike banked over at its maximum. That problem has been largely solved with a taller rear shock that has allowed more ride height, more ground clearence; and thus better turn-in. Outside of that, this bike needs nothing, and is probably the cleanest race-only SV650 in the midwest if not the country. Here are some specs:

Here's the deal. I am a 36 year-old professional in love with motorcycle RoadRacing. I am going back to graduate school and will have neither the time or the $$$ to go racing next year. I'm sure I will do a few trackdays on my RC-51, but as of now I have no need for a full-on racebike.
If you are even mildly interested in my SV650, please give me a call at: 641-344-9254. I will take the time to answer any questions you have about the bike. If I am not able to answer your call, please leave me a voicemail and I will get back with you promptly.
Thanks, Trent
