Default And a follow up

So I get the bike home, and so far it's pretty freakin nice. We had a small snow storm blow through so I couldn't go put a ton of miles on it, but from what mileage I was able to get I have to say the Suzuki suprised me. Very well mannered.

Here are my questions.
1. Race Tech doesn't offer a Gold Valve kit for the bike, are the forks completely un-rebuildable?
2. That exhuast system looks clunky as hell, what other systems have people found that works well with the SV?

Any info or tips would be great!

Biscuit,

Look into the M4 FULL system... you wont be disapointed. The E-ticket for SV650's

Leo Vince and Arrow are both nicer IMO Though tbh, full systems give you a lot of complication for not much gain, as well as being expensive. A decent quality slipon makes more sense, and just about everyone makes slipons for the SV. I like Remus, personally.

As for forks, you can't get a gold valve kit as they're damper forks. You can get cartridge emulators though, which are a huge upgrade. There's also a Matris cartridge kit at about £300 UK ($550US) or you can go all-out for the Traxxion AK20s, a snip at $1000 Or for the budget-minded, anyone over about 160lb can benefit from replacing the springs and oil with heavier items, the SV's soft sprung.

Or, GSXR front end. Easier than you'd think, cheaper than you'd think, all round xxx than you'd think. That's the route I went for my carbed model, GSXR K2/SRAD crossbreed forks. Works superbly, and I very nearly came out ahead on the deal once I sold the SV bits.

Default Forks

Just do emulators and springs and have it properly set up... it will give you all you need unless you are going racing and are at the TOP level... then maybe you can shoot for the drop ins.
