Figured I'd get this ball rolling. I've posted this in the Honda Sport Twins section, but its worth a re-post. I was gonna take it to MAM for the first time today to see how she feels, but alas the weather monkey is phucing with me again.

Nice. I'm jealous... your racebike is a lot nicer than my racebike You're going to love it on the track. The bike is so forgiving. You can just beat the snot out of it. And, when you get a chance to race some of the faster guys on those you will see some serious corner speeds being carried. Great bike.
FWIW, SV650s can usually race in MiddleWeight Twins, WERA Superstock D, and Formula 2 as an "up-class." As long as you don't have to compete against the 600cc fours you should be good against anything just about else.
I see the Cyclezoo sticker on the tank. A couple of years ago I was talking to Clayton and he said he built a killer featherweight SV. Could this be the same bike?
I'll be campaigning the SV in most Twin classes this year except superstock as I have a heavily modified GSXR front end on the bike. I'll probably bump up and race some Heavyweight Twins races as well agains the Ducs and fiddyones, just to get more track time.
The thing is, I started track riding on a stock SV650 back in 2004. I think it was a good thing as it taught me how to ride around certain problems and adapt to a bike with an less-than-stellar setup. I learned how to develp and carry corner speed and to really be smooth on the imputs.
Then last year I raced CCS and CRA Middleweight Supersport and Superbike on a very well prepped 2002 R6. I got some very repectable results even though I started almost every race from the 6th row back or deeper.
Instead of racing again in the Gun and Knife club that is 600 I-4's, I decided to get back on an SV as I watched guys I know win and place on the podium last year in SV races to whom I know I'm just as fast if not faster. So instead of being happy with top 10 finishes, I plan to visit the podium if not the checkered flag a few times this year. Hopefully I have the right bike underneath me to do that?

Nice SV. I really, really like your front end with the radial brake setup. I really wanted to go with an '05-'06 Gixxer1000 front end with the DLC coating on the forks, but alas, I spend all my $$$ on other stuff..
Hell, all you need to do to make that bike perfect is to paint the rear wheel to match the front, then rattle-can the tail and you is good-to-go.
What triples are you running with the Gixxer forks? I wonder if my Gixxer750 triples will except (same diameter) the newer forks w/radial brakes? I bet they would.
Again, nice bike. Later...........

The front end is an '04-05 gsxr600/750 mix, but since those two are identical, it's all good. The triples are stock size, I can't remember what size, but I can look it up. I have Vesrah brake pads and brembo radial 19x20 on the bike and the stopping power is amazing. The first time I rode at the track and tried to use my old braking markers, I had to get back on gas quite a bit to make it to the corner
The front fender and tail will eventually get painted, but I'll probably just wait until I have the full fairings finished.
