ESPN Supermoto Series for 2006

"Within the next month, ESPN is hoping to announce their own six race SuperMoto championship series that will run during the summer of 2006 with a live television package on ESPN or ESPN2. X Games 12 is still expected to run SuperMoto, but it will not be a part of the six-race points-paying championship. "We are considering this series and are talking with people in the motorcycle industry to come up with the right time and places," said Chris Stiepock, general manager for the X Games."

Amazing, but probably exactly what the sport needs. When I checked out the link, it was about the X-Games race, any idea where to find it?

If done right, this could be really good for the sport. If done half assed, see Formula USA dirttrack series, it could be another rough spot. Looking on the bright side, supermoto in this decade could become like the dirttrack of the 60's and 70's. People could almost make a living riding it all year....*sigh* wouldn't that be cool?!
