Default 17" rims XR650R

Anyone know which if any 17" rims are an easy fit on an XR650R?

Like F2, F3, SV650, GS500, Hawk?

I wanna motard my XR on the cheap.

I definetly want a 160/60 on the rear.

Thanks

If you wanna motard it cheap, buy rims and spokes and lace them to your existing hubs.

Will it fit between the swing arm?

Good question. I hope. I certainly don't want a 180, even if it fits.

I think he is usung F2/F3 wheels setup, looks cool but I think it is on the heavy side. I found used stuff when I built my 650R tard a few years ago!

Hey Mango
The wheels I found in the Cycle salvage are indentical to what he has showing on that site.

I don't know if there is a difference between an F2 wheel and an F3 wheel, but with the mods that are being done to make the wheels fit anyway, it may not make a difference.

I'm gonna get over there when I can. I think the big diff between F2 and F3

are the rotors, and I think you can get wavy discs for F3 but not F2.

CBR forks on an XR?

I would imagine you'll need to seriously drop the rear to balance that out.

Actually no. You end up with a 23.5 to 24.5 deg. steering head angle.

Slap on a Scotts and you're good to go. I don't mind a nervous slapper anyway.
