Default 150/70 vs 150/60 tires on SM610

I tried adding this to the previous thread, but got no responses.

I know you guys are happy with your 160/60 tires on a 4.25" rim, but I won't put on an oversized tire based on previous experience.

So to my question. It seems several manufacturers are only offering 150 tires in 70 series. Has anyone tried one of these 70 series tires?

4.25 wheel & 160/60/17 tires are specs from Husqvarna. I don't see why you would want a taller sidewall when the 160/60 is just fine.

You may think the 160 is just fine, but the specification from Husqvarna is for a 150/60, and that is what they put on mine at the factory. Bozza Draft, page A.10, "150/60-17, replace data on owner's manual no. 8000 A4860 (page 26)"

The Dunlop website calls for a 160/60, but both Avon and Michelin specify a 150/60.

My Highland has a 5" wheel and a 160 tire.

I don't want a taller sidewall, I just asked if anyone had tried a 70 series since the sport touring tires from Michelin and Bridgestone only come in 150/70, and I'd like to find a tire that will last through a trip so I don't have to search for this uncommon size on the road.

Ok cool, I understand. I have done 4 tire changes in the last 6000 miles. The 160/60 have been good for me, easy to find on the open road.....You didn't state that your "highland" had a 5" rear wheel & since no one answered your previous thread I thought I would add my 2 cents, excuse me
