Default Advice please

Hi Everyone,
Must say this is a great forum, been lurking oround a bit.

I'm looking to buy a bike that will do well as a street SM and ounce a year be regeared (biger tank, dirt wheels, etc.)to do distance adventure touring like Mexico, Baja, etc.
I have a track bike and a street bike and for years have done a lot of sport riding. I'v had all sorts of sport bikes and others like Bandits, TDM's and Vstroms. I'v only ever had one dualsport which was DR650 when I descovered SM several years ago.
Now I want another SM and Also want to do some adventure touring so I need a bike thats pretty versitile to do both. Since I'm not much of a dirt rider I figure the smaller the better and also know that true Feel of a SM is a light powerfull single (was tempted by KTM 950 SE). Based on all this I narowed it down to 3 or 4 bikes.

The new KTM 690, Husaberg 650, Huskgvrna 610 or Honda XR650R.
I know KTM is brand new but on paper seems to be real winner.
I know nothing of Husaberg and Huskgvrna but see lot of you guys use these bikes.
What is the deferance between the 2, which is more versitile and reliable and how is the maintenance and dealership network ??

At this point Honda is my last option cause it needs lots upgrades compare to rest to fit my needs and power is one of the major ones.

Guys feel free to enlighten me in any way you can.

Thanks and sorry for such a long post...............V

My XR650R, on stock gearing, wheelies off the throttle in third and tops out

at 105mph. It may not be the fastest bike in the world, but it hauls ass and

is stone axe reliable.
