Default It's on!

Just got off the phone with AMA, Live Nation, and several other local supermoto competition promoters -

There will be a amateur program of supermoto racing in Saint Louis on May 20th. It will be run on the same course as the season opener AMA pro round scheduled for the 19th.

There will likely be a Saturday admission package/Sunday racing package discount for the amateur racers, and registration fees sound to be in line with local supermoto racing events.

Promotional and registration materials should be created by the end of the week. You can be sure that Speedzilla readers will get the whole scoop as soon as it's available.

It's on, baby! Supermoto in the Lou!

Man thats amazing news. I was looking at Cycle News website a few weeks ago and saw an article that 4 new event were added.

My first thought was to not even bother clicking on the link as whats the chances any of them will be near let alone in St. Louis. I couldnt hardly believe my eyes when I read that the season opener would be at Riverport (Sorry Verizon it will always be Riverport to me..) not 3 miles from my house!

So cool. Maybe we could schedule some kind of a get together for the old Midwest Supermotard group. I havent seen most of you guys in nye on 4 years!

Man Walter we need to get you down there to see it live. You still have some time to heal. We'll just strap you down to a hand dollie and wheel your ass around! Maybe we'll get you one of those beer hats with dual 45's installed... If theres any way let us know!

Jimmy, a get together is a great idea. Maybe we could all meet over at the indoor karting place for a few laps and beers. Of course since there's amateur racing on Sunday we'll be getting together for sure. Hopefully we won't lock bars and join Walnut.

Hey Walnut!!!!! Take care of yourself, I'll talk to you soon.

BTW, I've got my KTM for sale if anyone is interested. I'll post some more info and pics on it, but it's based on a 2003 525 KTM SX with a motor done by Gary Emig Racing, MX-Tech Suspension (same specs as they did for factory KTM), Behr wheels, Braking Rotor/Caliper. Bike is amazing to ride. Asking $4K, but will of course consider any reasonable offer... and possibly trades.
