Default superstreet supermoto

i installed a total loss battery lite system on the KTM today. i'm running a 12v, deep cycle Werker battery, Acerbis headlite and a mini LED tailite. it works well and should keep the cops off my butt.
the whole werks can be removed in about 10 mins and i'm back to a track bike. cool!
took the bike for it's 1st street ride today. big fun cracking 2nd gear wheelies all over on the county roads.

Sounds like a good deal,,,,where did you pick this system up at?

I'm trying to find something for the WR to put it on the street.

i assembled the parts myself.
the headlite is from Acerbis. it was the most expensive part at $70. the tailite is an e-bay find. search mini LED tailite. it was $26. the batt came from batteries plus for 20 bucks. i got a switch from Auto Zone for $3 (yep, i got the good 1 ) wire and connectors from AZ also for another 6 or so.
so for about $130 you could get all the pieces and build your own.
good luck.

ok for the street on a cold/wet day. i did not push it too hard. i tried them at the local MX track back in Oct and as long as i stayed on the racing line (IE: hard packed) they hooked up well.
they are Pirelli rains.

Hello fellow Wisconsinite. How much time can you get running all your lights? What type of headlight bulb do you use? I was thinking about running a similar total loss set up but didn't know how long the lights would stay on. I have a new 05 KTM 450 on the way to my garage and (if possible) would like to do some daytime backroads riding besides track only. By the way, will you be at the usa inter. rcwy. banquet? -- -- Doug from Bonduel

there are a few cheeseheads here. good to have another.
i get an hour, 1.5 and it's dead. not sure what bulb is in there. i shut it off when i get out of town which only takes me a few mins.
you'll like the 450. it's a sweet bike.
i was not planning on going to the banquet. i won't know anyone there. i just got into SM in Oct. i'm ready to race this year though.
