Default SM610 Oil Can on LCD

My dealer obviously forgot to reset the thing after the 600.

Anyone know how to turn it off?

Also, what a DUMB-ARSE way of indicating service. At first I thought I had an oil pressure problem.

It's not dumb if you read the manual..........It's an indicator, has nothing to do with pressure. On my Aprilia it says "service" on the display when the appropriate mileage comes for the oil change and I've seen guys that thought that meant there was a problem. Problem is people don't read thier owners manuals. Not giving you a hard time, but it's in there. Okay, so I am giving you a little crap

Hold down the button and turn on your key till you see the WS in the corner of the display, then push the button to cycle thru the modes till you get to the oil can, reset and you're good to go.

I'm there with ya! I actually read the manual, but that was months ago.

What I thought was dumb was the oil can. It should say "600", "1st", or something that doesn't look like an oil pressure problem. I belive my Suby STi had a similar indicator for pressure trouble.

Those silly Italians!

Sorry, just sold the STi.

I wanted to keep my license for other driving/riding!

Not exactly the most covert of cars, but what a blast it was. Best bang for the buck out there. Every time I was near a PD or CHP I got the "Stare of Eternal Damnation".
