Default i guess i will be the first to do it

i have ordered a K&N pod filter to replace my air box on my husky sm610
its only about 27 dollars and will flow alot better

part number is ru-3190
it has a 20% degree angle to clear the backbone of the frame and will look sweet
got it at www.n2performance.com
i will post some pics when i install it
any others game?

I assume you ordered that one because the OD is 2.75 inch on the carb flange?

I was gonna order the same type of K&N, but the shorter one from the Snowmobile section. They have a 3 inch with the 20degree angled flange boot.

Just my , but if you plan on the bike seeing ANY dirt / dusty conditions at all, I'd highly recommend investing in some filter skins or a similar product. K&N's are great for releasing ponies, but they don't catch allot of the really fine particles you'll encounter in dirt / dusty conditions... Which is why you don't see every dirtbike running one.

That's a cool idea. Make sure you post pics. Another advantage will be that you will be able to get to the carb and suspension (preload) adjustment without removing the cursed air-box.

BTW what are you doing with your crank-case vent.

yep K&N for the crank case too
im going K&N for looks and space
this bike never sees dirt
i have a crf450 for that
i will post pics soon

and to horsepower
i picked this filter cause its 20.00 bucks less then the snowmobile one and almost same size
