Default SPEED Channel

I'm a big fan of the SPEED Channel, and I don't like to bash 'em, but it sure does suck that they are bumping the AMA broadcasts back for an ARCA race.

I wonder if they'll still show all three hours of AMA racing or if they'll cut the FX broadcast? I hate it for you guys that had TiVo setup to record all the action.

But it's fun listening to the drivers talk about umbrellas and cheeseburgers.

Give me a f8ing break. AT LEAST RUN A CRAWLER MESSAGE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN TO LET US KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!

Good thing I didn't set up to record this.

Great, now we're back to the races, but it's already 1/3 over!

Did they say why they bumped it?
it is better to start the next race at on the hour then throw off the whole schedule.

I always manually add an extra hour to the last show on my tivo to do list.

F Greg White. thanks for the spoiler on the grid of the 600 race. Same with Drebber. Why can't they keep their mouths shut? They know that the race is going to be shown next.

As usual, I taped it, 1:00 - 4:00 PST, so I can watch some or all tonight when the kids are asleep and it's Miller time. No telling what I'll find. Saw NASCAR, Infineon repeat and some Pike's Peak Superbike when I checked periodically. I hope they have the whole thing re-reun Tuesday so I can tape it again.

Can't fight the fact that the nascar fans out number us 10 to 1 easily. Sucks but true...I wish there was a way to make motorcycle roadracing as popular! Could you imagine if in USA we had a series that had as many stops as NASCAR with all the corporate dollars for the riders and equipment? All of our local tracks would be more likely to improve their facility to get the series to stop there also.

I think I hear that motogp is the most popular sport in Spain.

Never gonna happen, so don't even waste your time thinking about it. Never say never? Ha. I'm saying NEVER. Just like:

Independent documentaries will never out-draw Star Wars.

Health food restaurants will never outsell McDonald's.

Learning Express will never compete with Toys R Us.

In America, CRAP sells. People will always take CRAP over quality. Sad but true...

it doen't need to be on NASCARS level. it just shouldn't be on a NASCAR network. needs to be on a network that it's at least on an equal footing with other programming. the advertising will follow it, the tv production won't suffer because that's done by an outside source, brian and freddy would go with it and maybe they'd drop white. i was thinking about it while watching the ARCA raindrops and i think BBC America would be perfect. you know those guys appreciate bike racing, they've been doing it for decades

if speed is upsetting you, do your part to get back at them by sending well written, well thought-out emails to cable and satellite companies asking them to carry other, international stations that offer better coverage of international series.

There is pretty much nothing we can do about AMA races until another network wants to pick up the coverage, but I totally agree, Speed really doesnt care about the non-nascar viewer. I dont blame them for that, since nascar pays the bills, but thats the difference between a good network and an average one.

A good network treasures all viewers and treats them all as if they are what matters most. An average so-so network only treasures the nascar viewers, since they pay the majority of the bills.

I sent emails to Dish net, Directtv, and my local cable company. I even sent an email to Eurosport in Europe asking them to try and offer access in the USA.

Each letter these places get just puts us one step closer to having better networks.
