Default How about this for a wacky idea...

A racing class that is eco-friendly?

A class of bikes that are fueled by alternative sources.

One rule, no gasoline.

I'm not a tree hugger, it just sounds like something like this would be interesting.

Thoughts?

Isn't it time for you to pedal off somewhere and clean you're Birkenstocks? .

I kinda dig this idea. Natural gas (not the kind above) and cooking oil will rule the day, though.

Don't worry, when hydrogen takes over our bikes will go out like 2-storkes. BMW already has a hydrogen fueled race car with 270hp. It's not a electric motor. It burns hydrogen instead. Very low emmissions. That's the future of racing, and I love it. Just as long as it's fast.

It would definitely speed up the development of the technology ... and as others have said, as long as it is fast and the sound is beaut, I'm in.

Hydrogen race cars will come...
In about 85 years; and if BMW leads the way: 133 years.

a former roadracer in CRA used 85% ethanol in his zx-6r, team ethanol, tri state racing.... i believe brad zajic (pronouced zeits)was his name, had minnesota corn processors as a sponsor... problem was, the ethanol had to be jetted to almost double to make the same power which halved the fuel economy...
