Default Cycle Cat Rearstand Price Reduction

Following the launch of our UCS1 stand http://www.cyclecat.com/UCS01-01.htm , we received considerable feedback from customers suggesting widespread enthusiasm for its features and build qualities, but also a measure of price resistance. We take the word of our customers as marching orders, and accordingly, have taken as aggressive a position as possible with respect to the price of the UCS1.

So, effective immediately, Cycle Cat is reducing the MSRP of the red and silver stands from $270 to $195. The MSRP on the special show chrome stands is reduced to $295.

It may be of interest to know that at the new selling prices, Cycle Cat has no profit in the sale of the UCS1. However, it is our intent and expectation to improve our production efficiency sufficiently to be able to maintain the new retail prices and generate an acceptable profit, as we complete the next several production cycles. So, the price change will be permanent, and we'll find a way to make it work for us.

We want to thank everyone who provided us with input and guidance on this! We always invite and are enthusiastically open to input, comment, and criticism from riders, and will always do our best to learn from and be responsive to our customers. Please contact us at any time.

Sincerely,

Why?

The whole idea of the Cycle Cat stand is that you can lift the bike straight from the sidestand onto the rear stand, without assistance and without having to touch the bike.

You can already do that with SSSA Ducatis! With any Pit Bull or FG style stand, you can just insert the spindle into the axle, and then lever the thing right up. Why do you need something different?

Dunno I guess. Never tried my FG one handed. I alway put a hand on the tailsection and support it on the way up. I guess I'm just not that daring. If it's foolproof, like the one that CC has done for the double siders than I'll try it and chew on my foot.

Clarkandgrilli was headed out to CycleCat to look over his RC (as it was being used for measurements on some new CC RC51 products)....I met him out there and got to see first hand CC's facility. Chris was a good guy....showing off the product truck and the bikes being worked on.

I was able to see and use the bike stand in question and there is no doubt it works! I was damn scared to not hold the tail lifting up the bike but....whoa...it works...one hand!

We were able to see the triple clamp model that is being produced, as well as the rearsets, and clip ons.

If anyone has seen CC's rearsets...they function in a very unique way..check them out.

Guys at CC...keep up the good work / and good people mentality......oh and i'll take a extra triple when its done

hey Chris/ VANDEL.......is this what Alex may have done a couple years ago?

Throttlehead,
Whars up man? Thanks for all the kind words. I cant say for sure but I would bet my girlfriends bike that the clamp in the pic is an Alex Ortner creation. Ours will be similar as far as design. We will keep a triple clamp back for you but you have to decide what color you will want.

They are produced and in the back. I think we are waiting for the boxes to come in, not to quote Dice. We should be shipping this week I hope. Call meif you have any questions.
