Default Sykes out to shut Jami the EFF up! Hahaha

Sykes out to

Tom Sykes says he is determined to prove he can carry his remarkable qualifying form through to the races at Motorland Aragon after notching up a stunning sixth Superpole of the season.

The British rider has been truly outstanding over a single lap this season, scoring pole positions for all but two rounds this year (Monza and Miller Motorsports Park) and Motorland Aragon was no exception as he put a mammoth seven tenths between himself and his rivals.

Going against expectations having seen Max Biaggi and Marco Melandri set the pace for much of the weekend, Sykes was thrilled to prevail on a Saturday once again, but is now turning his attention to the races.

Indeed, though Sykes's qualifying form in 2012 cannot be disputed, some have called into question his race durability having often led in the early laps before slipping back down the order.

However, having worked hard on longevity at the Aragon test last week, Monza race winner Sykes feels he now has a package capable of proving the naysayers wrong.

“Another pole position and it is fantastic. I wish we got points for pole position but we don't. I think the forecast is for weather conditions to be a little bit cooler tomorrow which will make the racing faster for everybody.

“We will see what happens, because there were five guys who are looking fairly strong. We worked hard in the tests here last weekend. Kawasaki worked hard and my crew chief worked me very hard and we did the equivalent of around nine race distances in total over the three days, so hopefully that will pay off tomorrow and we can silence a few people.

Regarding his healthy haul of prize Tissot watches, while Sykes was certainly pleased with his new-found collection, he says it isn't causing him to be more prompt…

“It was nice to win another Tissot watch for Superpole today. I have one in every location now, but I am always late anyway, so that idea has not quite worked out!”

Sykes is everything Stoner was criticized for during his Ducati years. Fast for one lap. The fact he is addressing his results means it's already in his head that he's a one lap wonder. Hopefully we can hear more about this World beating Kawi Turbo faps about, even though they are 2nd last (5th) in the manufacturers standings. 2nd last! Ahead of Suzuki! Hahaha, that's hysterical! Someone should score a point on a Yamaha so they could be 3rd last.

Turbo, hit me up if you want to hit the hot pits @ the 2nd Pocono NASCAR race. I know you were slurping on Danica so I think I have an extra credential and we can get you a picture with her. I know you were high on the GP of Baltimore but those credentials are tight so far.

This type of hot pit, not a pit pass:

8th and a DNF! Well done! That'll silence all his critics! One lap wonder who has 2 threads about him getting a measly pole. Yawn............

In all fairness and I always root for the guy more than others, he was taken out on last lap or next to last lap, can't remember already, otherwise he would have had a third place finish! Race 1 was great, but wish they would have showed more of the other riders rather than just Biaggi and Melandri.
Havent seen race two yet.

Kawasaki needs to remember to change the tires after Superpole, Sykes' bike seems to drop off about five laps into each race.

BTW, how is Hopkins' full-time ride in WSBK going? Future MotoGP champion there. Yep...

In all fairness, the current GSXR is not up to snuff in WSBK...
