Slap in the face to Ducati if this is as recent as is posted. With all the problems they're going through, Rossi testing the waters in a whole other venue cannot be viewed as anything other than that. Yes, he's raced cars before during a season. But he had the lead in points and it could be seen more like a mini-vacation. He's not happy with Ducati and he's yelling it.

In all honesty, this was scheduled months ago (takes loads of prep and sponsors coming together).
He has always raced 4 wheels while he was winning championships with Honda on 2 and 4 strokes, he also raced rally cars and GT cars while with yamaha.

rossi has raced and tested cars (and F1s) during a GP season for years. Whether its a rally, a street race....its what he does. Ducati has no reason to read anything into this at all if they've followed his career longer than one season

Trouble is that he was doing well all those years that he was off farting around on four wheels. He is struggling, and has been for over a year. Bottom line is that they probably aren't too happy that he is getting paid how much to get Ducati a 12th place?

Maybe Ducati should start renting out his bike while he is off practicing for he new career?
