Really? Have you ever been to the races at Road Atlanta?

Stay home & watch it in your air conditioned house... RA is always stupid hot and not a day goes by when the restrooms in the paddock don't emanate shit & piss smells for hours on end until the pumper truck shows up to suck out the septic system.

I don't understand why anyone would pay money to go watch a bunch of has-beens and nobody's do what amounts to a televised club race. The AMA slowly ruined roadracing in this country for a decade or two then jumped ship at the last possible minute to make it look like it was all DMG's fault.

What? The dude is pumped and didn't even get any $$ to post how pumped he is for the races!

Anyone going to an AMA Roadracing event should be put down like a rabid pet.

Cool

Yeah don't support roadracing, in fact don't watch it on TV. Just sell your motorcycles, go buy an XBOX, and that way you can prove your the best without ever having to endure the horror of actually going outside of your house and doing something you enjoy.

I support roadracing just not in this country where it is all about money instead of being an actual sport. Any sanctioning race body that makes you pay money to be able to run a stock exhaust on your bike so it can be homologated is definitely out for the money instead of trying to get people racing... Not that I ever expect racing to be cheap, but come'on a little common sense would go a long way with pro-racing in the USA

You want to see racing at its finest save your money throughout the season and go to the final MotoGP round at Valencia. Since it's the end of the season they no longer care about preserving their motors and run the bikes ragged plus you get to see the burnouts and wheelies after the race etc that are no longer part of the MotoGP spectacle and then just when you think it is over for the day you head 5 miles west and hit the town of Cheste where 15,000 bikers descend on the town for the biggest party you have ever seen complete with burnouts, wheelies and orchestrated rev limiter sonata's

I entered this contest and won free tickets for the whole weekend, so I'm going. They are having this contest until Wednesday this week. The contact person wanted me to reply on the forum and tell everyone, that it's still a chance to win. The tickets also come with a discount for any guest that attend with me. If anyone wants to go, lets do it.

Have fun and enjoy it man. However they are right on the facilities there.

The guys I met at the track this weekend said the facilities at RA are the worst they've seen.

LOL so basically they are giving away free tickets under the guise of "winning tickets" just to get people to attend the event. I guess that doesn't throw up any flags to anyone else on the matter....

They don't look free to me? https://www.weridemotorsports.com/20...unaatlanta.htm

If 60 and under is free, shoot me some free CL59 pads so I can compare to the Vesrah RJLs!

Mike you're so hardcore. I guess you didn't read this.

This just in from M1:

"In addition to the unbelievable AMA Pro Road Racing action taking place on the race track and viewable on JumboTrons provided by MobileView, M1 PowerSports has scheduled non-stop entertainment for the whole family throughout the facility. From the heart of the racetrack, the Café Racer Village, fans can enjoy a Friday Night Fan Party, Jason Britton's Team No Limit Stunt Shows, Country/Rock Concerts by the Cigar Store Indians, Cafe Racer Magazine Bike Shows and amazing fireworks, all while browsing the offerings of over 60 vendors. There will be Triumph Fan Laps, a Bikini Bike Wash, the Extreme Team 4x4 Monster Ride Truck, charity rides in the ultra-exotic MonoTracer, classic race machines and former champions in the Historic Moto Grand Prix paddock, FREE on-track Yamaha/NESBA Demo Rides, the always-popular Big Kahuna Bikini Girls and a Kid's Corral full of entertainment for the Little Kahunas. Even Santa Claus is getting in on the action, heading south for the weekend to take a ride in a sidecar to throw out gifts to fans around the track, and all of this is just the beginning of the Big Kahuna experience."

Plus being that far South you can legally sleep with your sister while you are there that is of course if you can find time in between sessions of talking to Elvis, standing in line to pee or washing the red clay mud out of everything you own.

I'm so envious of you guys

Well if you have free tickets and you live reasonably close it's worth going. I wouldn't drive 8 hours to attend a race in Braselton, but if you have never been before I can see the attraction.

Well I live in Birmingham and was debating on going for the Sunday race any way. Never been before and was wanting to get out a visit some other tracks, other than Barbers.

@jami6989 don't cross the street then
