Some of you probably saw my parts for sale and maybe put two and two together. I am turning the RC into a street fighter based on the PVM viper. My apologies to the RC purists, but don't worry as it will still have many track days and fun miles ahead of it.
I need to find a good Yamaha dealer that can get me the headlight assembly for a XT 600 or 660 and some of the parts associated with it. I believe they are the same. There were a couple different models like an SM and an R I believe. If anyone can reccomend one that would be cool. I am going to call the local one here and see what they can do, but I don't think they will be much help. I've done a search for a forum based on the XT, but no real luck. I think a UK dealer would be my best bet since they speak English.
Thanks in advance for the help.
For anyone that doesn't know what the viper looks like, here you go:
Awesome, I love that thing...looks killer, have wanted to do that since I saw the Viper years ago.
Have you looked on eBay in UK or DE yet? Dont worry about the Euros not speaking English, most of them speak better English than MRGRN, 'specially the Germans!!
Anyways, good luck, great project and now that I think of it...I have the ABM Superbike triple/bar kit sitting in a box here...never did get around to fightering and SP...if you have not got that far let me know!

That was actually going to be my next "wtb" post, as I know there are a few riser kits floating around.
I've taken a look at UK eBay, not much luck. Mostly they are the older model with the square headlight. I am wondering if they call the newer XT by another name over there?
That is a one off custom as far as I can tell. I am still up in the air over what I am going to do about exhaust. Maybe use my cans, moto maggots, or maybe simon's long gp cans.
Keep in mind that quite a few "Euro-only" bikes were offered in Canada ; not sure about the XT though , so just saying for future reference . And some of us actually speaka da English .

Have you sent PVM an email asking about the exhaust and tail section?
The tail is off a CBR1000RR. That is already in the works. I might change my mind and go with a MV or ducati tail, but those are $$$ compared to the honda tail which I can get for dirt cheap used.
I sent them one a while ago and never got a response, but I might try again. Tyga has moto maggots on sale..... oh so tempting.
Oh shit...Rothmans mentioned this thread to me....and there's that SP2 sitting in the corner needing some bits...damn gears are turning....no...don't do it!
I've looked at their website before, but the cart crashes everytime I get up to something like ten items. I'll have to try another browser. Plus I would have to call them to see what it will all be without that silly VAT tax. They have some weird hours though, only open for calls four hours a day/
At least you can look up the part numbers from there. I'm halfway through converting my FZ1 to Euro/Japan FZ1N and my local Yamaha dealer could get any non-Canadian market part with no issues as long as they had the part number.
Although I ended up ordering the parts online anyway (partshark.com) cos it was half the price ... was either get all the parts from the dealer or order online and get an exhaust from the dealer, pretty sure we were both happier with option two.
