Default Interesting article on Steve McQueen

An Interview with Max Poultney

"Blimey Steve you flew up the hill". "Yes", he said, "I had to because as I dropped the clutch I came out of the saddle and then landed back on my bollocks so that I had to get to the top to relieve the pain!"

Purchase the book about the making of Le Mans (the movie BTW) [ http://www.amazon.co.uk/French-Kiss-...dp/0837615526] if you want to know LOTS more about Steve.

To be honest after getting 3/4's of the way through this book I think while Steve was obviously cool, he also was a d!ck. The way he treated his wife was pretty sad.

Steve was old school. Cool to friends and admirer's and a jerk to his family. Too bad, as a kid I thought he was the Cooler King.

There was always something about him I didn't really like... cannot say, perhaps it reminded me of my father, which isn't exactly a compliment.

Love those old , low production and now defunct bikes . It seems that every conceivable design config has been tried in the past .
