Default Rea Leads British Domination Of Portimao Tests

If Nori comes in 2nd this year to Rea I'm sure he'll be on suicide watch.

As I stated on here recently, I feel that this year is Honda's to dominate. Rea was probably the second best rider last year and will win a bunch of races this year. Nori will be lucky to finish the season in fourth place as there are a bunch of fast guys out there.

Rea has been fast at times, but I'm not sure he can be even as consistent as Haga. I really want to see Crutchlow racing on the Yamaha, to see if he can transition to World Superbike as successfully as he did to WSS last year, and to get another indication of how much was the bike last year and how much was Spies.

Well, if Toseland, with his vast advantage in racing at the top levels, comes up short against newcomer Crutchlow, which I predict will happen, then James should talk to his agent about getting a record contract for his band cuz he's going to need some source of future income.

C'mon dude! JT wins it all this year and everyone quickly remembers how insignificant Bayliss winning only on Ducs was when JT did it on 3 different bikes! A legend is tarnished and a new one is born!

I wouldn't write Haslam off guys, Rea is good but inconsistent more so than Haga.
I hate to admit it but the whole field looks a tad thin on the ground as regards International talent, it seems like a glorified BSB paddock.

What do you mean BSB paddock.....there aren't any Brits there other than Camier, Crutchlow, Byrne, Haslam, Rea, Toseland and two or three others.

it would go along way to showing his worthlessness! But i dont think JT has a prayer of finishing inside the top 10.
i really liked him in wsbk, but after the many many pissy hissy fits he threw in GP, i have no respect for him

I do not particularly like Toseland but his superbike credentials speak for themselves. Not top 10? I think that is a joke. Unfortunately for him even if he finished the year top 3-5 against people like Haga and Biagi, it will be seen as a failure. Just riding in motogp does not mean he should be the favorite or even better than his teamate just that he deserved a shot at the time. I am rooting for the Northern Ireland boy myself, because he is riding for Honda.

Rea sacred the S*^t out of me whenever he came within a second of Spies this year. I'll be glad not to have to deal with that again this year, but his go-for-broke style is fun to watch! Reminds me of a certain Japanese rider back in his early career... Frankly, I think Rea was having to ride the wheels off that Honda to do it though, which is why he was so ragged at times, but judging by the second half of the 09 season, I reckon he's in for a crack at the title this year.

I'm calling it's between him, Haga and Crutchlow. Nobody is going to dominate, so lack of a single powerhouse should render it a pretty exciting season.
