How are they ever going to get that many bikes on the track at once?
I saw that today and was going to post a screen capture of it. Is RRW just poking the DMG with a stick? I have to think there will be several more entries. Pegram and Bostrom at a minimum. Maybe Ulrich could get a podium?
They could always head down to the main drag in Daytona and ask anyone in full leathers to come over and fill out the grid....
Ulrich needs four grid positions just to accomodate his head.
Don't know much about son Chris but dad John has done more for AMA roadracing than ALL of AMA combined and doubled. The AMA didn't care a rat's patooie about rider safety and making tracks suitably safer. John did and put his money where his mouth was, hence the Air Fence Fund. How come the AMA didn't take the initiative. You know the answer to that.
Point Two.....John and Kevin Schwantz ran a dissidant slate for AMA directors a few years ago to try to clean up that mess. AMA did everything in their power to try to keep them out.
Whatever faults John has, and I am sure that he has his share, he has been a major force for good in AMA roadracing and I tip my hat to him.

JRP may not be able to make it, he got the crap kicked out of him in a Phoenix night club a few days ago.
I heard something to that effect myself, but havn't verified (my buddy who told me is somewhat less than 100% reliable....) How'd you hear?

Since Roadkill was nice enough to let us know the DMG grid was filling up fast as RRW was to poke a little fun... it seems there has now been a rush to get signed up...
Its all over WERA, reported by Davie Stone who is friends with both JRP and the guy who did the punching. The whole thing is a sad story really.
What a great thread! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He got the attention he wanted, that's for sure. Just sux it was by the doctors and nurses in the triage area of the ER.
