it really takes big balls to ride in the Macau GP, I guess they all wear these jeans when they took off their leather suit.

Cool vid...

The Macau Grand Prix is a motor-racing event held annually in November
in the streets of Macau. It is known for being the only street circuit
racing event in which both car and motorcycle races are held. Every
year more than three hundred racing drivers and riders gather for the
annual event.

The motorcycle race was introduced in 1967, and in that year the first
fatal tragedy struck the race: double champion Dodjie Laurel was
killed when he lost control of his car and crashed. This raised the
alarm for more safety improvements for the race.

True... When it comes to the spectacular Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix the
energy and courage of youth mix with the wisdom and knowledge of
experience...

With a Chinese wife I've watched this GP live on more than on one occasion. It's a huge party up to, during and after the event. If you have a chance to be in Asia during this timeframe do go see it.

I have heard rumors, and I won't name any names, that several US racers have gone over there only to get lost in the party and never make the race. I guess it can be waaaaaaaaaay too much fun for some.

Effin love the footage though, thanks for posting

Crazy stuff. It looks like a track you'd find on a video game. I just didn't see anyone taking the short cuts

Will go next year for sure - looks like all the silliness of the Isle of Man right on my doorstep.

Yeah, don't miss your breaking marker. The thing that always strikes me is the consistency it requires. Every one of those riders is coming within a few inches of dragging something on the guardrail on every bloody corner. Whole different level of skill.

One day I'll be able to move my China development trip from Dec. and see this thing for real.
